Did shows which side (meter or remote) has pins reverse(crossover)?
Hello I bought this unit, and am loving it but I only have one issue. When ever I use it to trace a cable, it often beeps between 3 to 4 cables, and its very annoying. I have an old tracer and it pin points the exact port or cable that I am trying to find. I have adjusted the sensitivity but that doesn't help. Could it be that I have a bad probe? Please let me know what you can do for me. Thank you.

Определение обрыва и длины кабеля очень приблизительно. Чувствительность трассоискателя не позволяет им пользоваться по назначению. В результате, те функции, ради которых приобретал я прибор - не работают.
Hello, can i detect CAT 5e oder CAT 6e with the wireless NF Detector too or is this function only for telefon cable? i belive it works only on telefon cable because they are NOT shielded....
And other question: does the tester know the different between of a crosslink and a normal stp network cable?

What does it mean when the cable is reported as cross? I think that it means it has the A wiring instead of B wiring. Can you please confirm?
In my experience a cross is when 2 sets of pins are swapped. This would occur in crossover cables or in a miswired cable.

I have a cable in a boat that has a break somewhere meaning a very difficult re-wire. I have found the cable at various points. If using the remote will this device tell me if there is solid connection on some wires on its whole 30 meter run and if say wires 3 and 5 are broken at 8 meters in will it tell me this
Hello,Nigel.If you use the device with the remote,you can test which cores break of the cable,and if you test the cable length without the remote ,you can find the brokenpoint by the device.

Will the tone sound /Scanning part come thru cat5e cabling that is connected to AN ACTIVE POWERED UP switch, your video shows you finding the tone on a UPLUGGED UNIT,?

What's the difference between the NF-8601 W and NF-8601 S
The measuring way is different,NF-8601S is used TDR theory,which make the testing result more accuratly.
