I'm so happy with my rider 27. Feels like running on the clouds. In the beginning i was wondering about 12 mm drop but it's not a quite problem i can say.
Great review; I loved the 25 hated the 26 skipped the 27 and have the 28. Love em they just get so dirty fast and impossible to clean. I might grab a 27 just for the set lol
The Wave Rider is so versatile and easy to run in, and the outsole grip is very good. I don’t understand why almost none of the most popular running shoe reviewers ever talk about the Wave Rider.
Some brands just don't care to send their stuff to everyone and "established" channels don't care to buy them, simple as that. Money is another factor and thats what drives some to review "X" brand instead and overlook others.
I’ve had 2 pairs of 27 and loved them. My 28s arrived in the same size and they are over 1 inch shorter and therefore too tight. I also found 28 midsole rock solid. Not their best ‘upgrade’ in my humble opinion
I wonder how new Wave Sky will behave with much more Enerzy NXT foam. I'm also curious about the heel tab going a little away from the foot which might make it more comfortable. The pricing seems a bit weird with Mizuno Neo Vista being only slightly more expensive than Wave Rider 28 at retail price. I can't wait for the comments about 12 mm drop being too high which in reality might feel a bit lower due to much softer foam under heel.
I'm loving mu Wave Sky 8 ! Imagine the softness of the heel cushioning of the 1080 v13, but with the stability of a Vomero 17 with the almost amazing bounce of the Invincible Run 3 ! The Sky 8 is now almost as fast as the Invincible 3 , weighting a bit less and more comfortable them a Gel-Nimbus 25 and NB 1080 v13. I still got my Wave Rider 27 and will replace it later this year with Rider 28 for sure. Loved this Enerzy Nxt bounce heel power from the new Sky, and the Rider 28 should be similar to the feeling and with even more stability ( and it is a neutral shoes!).
@@MiracleWarriors I've just tried Rider 28 and it's not for me. I have Rider 26 and it's fine. I feel that the shoe pushes me laterally very quickly. Midfoot and forefoot seem quite stable as the foam goes wider than the upper. The heel didn't feel right to me. I wonder how the plate looks like because it seemed to split into separate "forks"/"prongs" between heel and midfoot. Maybe next time but thanks for your impressions!
Had my first run with 28 today and do not appreciate at all the changed sole material and increased width. Still do recall the lovely first meters with my 27, indeed this one felt bouncier to me. I’m very disappointed, using the shoe since generation 17 and thinking about a change for the first time …

Sometimes simple is great!
💯 very underrated brand, I even wear my WRs for trail running

Good reviews thanks.

Interesting. So the 28s run short on the length? I’m switching from Nike Peg 38 in US 9, should I size up then?
Mizuno skyrise 5 or better wave rider 28? Thanks

Definitely feels much lower to me, way smoother and better instep feel too
@@NoahorScoob Sounds nice, thanks! :)

Is 28 good for long run half marathon?
41 mm? Did Mizuno made the Rider illegal?
No one will run a marathon for money in these shoes so it's irrelevant
OMG, now the cheaters will break all records with a pair of this brick
Riders are definitely not true to size.
Hi, do they need to size up or down ? Thanks
Size up
@@biancadelgado1454 thanks
Rider 27 for me feels much longer than any of my running shoes. Dunno about 28, if it really is much shorter then it would be a great upgrade IMO.

What's the benefit of using a 12mm drop running shoe?
Matt talks about that in another mizuno video: ua-cam.com/video/fervsF9Fmss/v-deo.htmlsi=5ehPzBjROi4rTK4T
