I am not comfortable with adding another plugin just to show dashboard widget. Is there a code snippet that adds new widget into admin dashboard and then echoes the bricks template via shortcode? I managed to google the widget code but it strips a lot of content from bricks template and only shows text and video inside widget without any design.
18:57 Hi Paul. Would you happen to have a Code Snippet that can load the Bricks Template in the Dashboard area? I tried generating the code with ChatGPT but it wouldn't render the CSS from the Bricks template.
Hey Paul! Just bought Ultimate Dashboard after watching your great video! But when I try to follow it, the Dashboard Page does not show up but just shows the classic "Dashboard" title. I've activated Admin Pages in the Bricks settings, checked that my template is a section and every other step, but I cant get this to work... Do you have an idea, what I could've missed? Thank you!
Been waiting for this! Thank you, Paul C. Gonna try out White Label CMS. Ultimate Dashboard is... well.... an eventual ultimatum. So I will have to get it... eventually.
Excellent tutorial Paul. Def have a look at this plugin! Looks like a better alternative to what I've used before. I like hiding menu items especially. Stops clients fiddling around and completely messing up their sites = More work! Thanks again 👍
I'm testing it out at the moment - o, keep your eyes open for a new guide coming soon. I only have some basic filler content for those sections and that was generated with ChatGPT - so, I don't really have anything to share I'm afraid.
But how can I make so that the client cant edit anything with Bricks builder? Can I lock them out so they dont get the free builder when they later on move to another web developer?
I'm not sure what you mean - impact on the DB should be negligible as it's effectively just a standard WP page and simple plugin to hide various aspects on the dashboard.
You are literally just replacing the default Dashboard Index with a template from Bricks - no different to a frontend page. So, I can't imagine there would be any noticeable impact on the database or site/page speed.
Actually, you can build a dashboard using Bricks within White Labels CMS. You just need to build a dashboard page instead of a template. Then you can select that page to use as the dashboard.
@kwsim539 I just checked and none of the pages or bricks templates show up in the dropdown options of White Label CMS when selecting the option "Page" inside Dashboard tab. Is there any other configuration you did to achieve it?
@@TheAk4r You need to have the "Page" toggled ON under the Template Type. Then you will see a dropdown to select any page you want. Even pages designed with Bricks.

The only problem building the dashboard using the Bricks template is that this only works if you have the Bricks > Settings > Performance > CSS loading method set to Inline styles. This dashboard will not load the styles if this setting is set to External styles. I'm sure this will be the same issue in Elementor under the Settings > Advanced Tab and select External File.
This was the issue I was facing as well. Also, working with variables does not seem to be working either. Maybe via a workaround I have not yet discovered...
@@brianvanderspaI hope so too, because keeping everything inline increases the overall size of each web pages' waterfall. This is shown in the Bricks Asset Loading Otimization video, ua-cam.com/video/O_B19LBtnwM/v-deo.htmlsi=oGlcAQjXzXSgovjk .
You can find it here: learnbricksbuilder.com/build-a-custom-wordpress-dashboard-with-bricks-udp/ The video description has also been updated with the link. :)
I haven't picked it up myself, but tempted as it works with native Gutenberg templates which removes the requirement or restriction to use Bricks or Elementor.
One note Paul, Ctrl/Cmd + V doesn't work with HTTP site, it only works with HTTPS. "As the Clipboard API is only available to Secure Contexts, it cannot be used from a content script running on http: -pages, only https: -pages."

Hi Paul, when you click the quick links you built, does it load inside the in the admin area? I found white label CMS has this issue
Yes - everything loads into the dashboard as you'd normally see it, but using our custom designed page. :)

Paul, really enjoyed this updated video. I remember a similar Elementor video from a few years back. I always like these.
How about database size after?

Oxygen builder seems doesn't work at all for the custom page builder integration

The future is blocks. Why do we continue pushing page builders?... This would be a super-valuable video if it was block-based.
That may well be on the cards very soon.
