Great tutorial as always, Paul. One question related to Core Framework: How do you manage/config the Typography and Spacing variables values? Do you input manual values or you use the "Scale Ratio" options that they provide? I find it very dificult to get the desired values using the scale ratio (1.25, 1.333 etc), for example the 2xl is too big and xl is too small. Meanwhile I see that people recommend using them for a good hieararchy of design. btw never found any tutorial related exactly to this topic, in the Figma design tutorials they always use static values for spacing and typo.
Superb tech stack mate. My default installs depend.on the builder I use for a particular project, but I'm definitely steering towards Bricks as THE default builder, and using most of those you've mentioned.
I always start new projects with: - Bricks Builder - Advanced Theme (with ACF Pro) - ACSS as framework - Brixies That's all that I need... then, sometimes, I use fancy bricks templates, and fancy animatios, or bricks maven or frames, as templates.
Bricks Builder ACSS Frames Advanced Themer JetEngine (Thinking of switching to ACF Pro) WP Codebox 2 Happy Files Pro SEOpress Siteground Security and Optimiser If anyone has tried both ACF Pro and JetEngine, please let me know which is better and why.
Is there any free plugin that allows to save contacts from contact forms? I used WP Forms with Constant Contact but the trial ending means the integration also will end. A Simple Plugin that saves the email addresses will be helpful!
Bricks is a one man shop it can be closed at any time so don't waste your time on it and it has tons of addons as well. Affiliates simply hype for their own underground payment. The founder built HappyFiles also but it never had any update since then.
100%. Cleaner code, better accessibility and you can achieve 90+ page speed on mobile quite easily as long as you know what you’re doing. If you get Bricks then get ACSS as well so you can build websites really quickly. You need to learn CSS especially well though if you want to get the most out of Bricks.
@@KOBE42__ Interesting. I do know raw html and moderate to almost advanced CSS so no problem there. I've always had difficulty seeing good pagespeed scores with divi on mobile despite every caching mechanism, optimization, cloudflare CDN, image optimizations, etc. Would be amazing to get pages loaded in under a second or two. Divi has a ton of bloat where it adds so much code for pages that don't use that specific code.
There's no lifetime deal for ACF pro. Also, their renewal policy is this: "Do I need to renew my license? Yes. Licenses are renewed automatically each year to give you continued access to premium features and plugin updates. You may also opt-out from auto renewals in favour of manual control from your online account." This wording means you will lose all functionality ifnyou don't renew... .
I LOVE when you introduce Premium-tools that works as good free as pro for the normal user (i mean smaller companies maybe). Need more of that!

Paul, you don't mention a forms and smtp plugin. Are you using the native Bricks form and some other method than php_mailer?

In bricks builder forms is included by default (on a turn on setting).
No forms?
U should Change your Channel Name to BricksTuts. In every Video Bricks Builder....
No one is forcing you to watch any or all of the videos. If they’re not for you, simple move on with your day. 🤷🏼♂️

that's because Bricks is game changing. I changed from elementor 1 year and a half now, and never went back. Bricks is amazing!
Is bricks always materially faster to work on and serve pages vs elementor or divi? Never tried it.

you can try ACPT, they have a LTD now and have 90% functions like ACF PRO
I didn’t say there WAS an Ltd for ACF Pro, I said I HAD an Ltd.
ACF ran an Ltd for quite some time when the original creator ran it.
That's fair enough isn't it?? If you don't renew then you don't get access! Sort of like Spotify, NetFlix etc.
@@xhwsdm This is from a few months ago I see, are you a happy ACPT customer? Do you use it on production websites?
Brilliant stack - I also Umm and Awed with Bricks Extras, but tool the plunge. I use it sooo often, their Woo conditions are a lifesaver.
❤❤❤
GP + GB are not negotiable :)
Better than Bricks in many ways. At least it doesn't need hundreds of add-ons.
