My favorite interaction is if you have the rocking chair from Nifty Knitting and you give the infant a nap. My sim just held his baby and rocked with him while he slept. It was too precious.

They did such an amazing job with the animations though and the gameplay we get with this update (for free!) is actually really good imo. They can interact, play, eat, bathe etc - what more could you actually want (again... for free)? We get cribs, toys, decor etc... I'm actually super happy with the infant update.
@@corinneamani8823 That's true, yes, but tbh I wouldn't use it anyway. Personally I prefer the fast little whirl in the air much more over the extra step. Infants are already so much work, that would just add to it 😂

Of course my infant loves ice cream. I was like, "who doesn't?" I also understand how she dislikes lemons. Too sour. Also this update is adorable and realistic
I found that my sensitive infant was a little more sensitive to noise. I tried to play kids music on the radio in her nursery and she didn’t like it! I also had a dog in the house, but his barking didn’t seem to bother the sensitive girl or affect her sleep. There’s so much adorable attention to detail in the pack~
protips:: screaming doesnt necessarily mean the baby hates you, its just how they communicate. if the baby has lots of good moodlets, they will age up very well. if their moodlets are bad when you age up, they will age up bad. number and type of acheived milestones dictates the toddler skills they will start with! my more difficult infant who cried a lot more because she had the difficult "needs to be held" for sleep and sunny. but she aged into a top notch infant, because very strong high moodlets on age up.

Nice job Petey *thumbs up* indeed. Just a heads up *you can actually carry an infant up and down a ladder if you place the infant in the infant back carrier* before climbing up or down a ladder. I've found that some interactions go a bit weird with infants - I have a 2 storey home, with the infant currently sharing the bedroom on the 2nd floor with a living room beside it. When I do some interactions like cuddle, for reasons unknown, my adult sims will carry the infant all the way downstairs and sit on the edge of the swimming pool to cuddle them and talk to them. Not the couch or the bed which are nearer, nor the sun loungers which are on the second floor balcony... It's not a massive bug as it doesn't break the game, but it is a little annoying. The thing for me about the update is that without Growing Together, it doesn't feel like there is much of a reward for playing with them versus the 'box babies'. You've got a lot more interactions and they are generally cute, but I'm not sure that it wouldn't have been better if they had remained part of Growing Together and the compatibility functions had been added to the base game instead

That’s because it mimics infants in real life. It has nothing to do with how much energy they have, at this life stage they need lots of rest and need to sleep every few hours.

If you have laundry bins, they probably go in there. I found out mine were going to the laundry bins. You'll have to take away the bins to get the mess on the floor. I have to get used to them dropping the bottles on the floor after feedings, though.
Thanks for showing this though I think I like the child stages and older lol 😂. Just prefer Sims who can fill their own needs instead of having to have one of my Sims helping another infants/toodles about literally everything yet the tods still get angry about it 😓 I just had to age them up to kids instantly
At first I was doubtful (I thought, if they wanted to add a new age, why not preteen who is a more lacking step?) but they actually look fun to play with.
Please make a guide on HOW to get the milestones for infants. I cant get them all and I'm going crazy! Could you also include any milestone cheats? Im losing my hair over here!
I can't wait until my half alien baby Sydney ages up!! She hasn't aged up yet, and I haven't updated my game yet. I plan to get my sims to woo-hoo so that they can have another baby. That way, when the new baby grows to the infant stage, Sydney will have a little brother or sister to play with!! (because the 2 cats may be dead) I'm so ecstatic for this!!!
The big thing about infants is that it’s stopped me from popping out baby after baby bc I can’t handle a bunch of infants and toddlers at once, not unless I want them to feel abandoned
I played for the first time in a while yesterday and the update threw me off. I was wondering why I couldn’t use a toddler bed for the baby when it aged up from newborn 😅
Fairly new to the Sims franchise so take this with a grain of salt. Some of the baby stuff was really cute, but overall it was a pretty rough time. I raised 5 real life kids, and this was like that on crack. Really glad I had built up some bank before I started because getting work done and keeping up with the broken sinks and showers while having a kid is killing my toon. I'm almost scared to try for another one.
Top Notch Infant... that means I'll have to restart a Supersim I was making. Thankfully he was only a toddler when I continued, but this makes me wonder; how many lifestages will EA add later down the line that sims could miss out on by aging up?
How do you get the adults to actually respond. I have such difficulty getting the adults to do anything. They’ll just stand there after I have asked them to pick up or change diaper. Complete zombies. Any hints
@@UnassumingLlama okay thank you. I also moved out of one house to another and that helped. I don’t know why but… I love playing SIMS, but there are times when I just wonder about the intelligence of mankind. O , sorry the conversation was about SIMS. My bad
Actually.they do earn skills,if you go in skills on a sim that is able to earn skills then go on an infant,it shows the skills for a quick second! Yw 100 baby players, now you know how to complete the challenge with an infant that has skills ^^
I also noticed that the toddler and child had milestones do you know anything about that because there is not much information mainly the infants milestones. If you do your infant right you get the top notch infant
Milestones in the older stages are more like “significant life events” and memories, whereas the infants treat milestones more like single level skills. Once the sim is into the Toddler life stage, milestones aren’t as impactful because the actual skills kick in and can be worked on instead. Infants don’t get skills like the other life stages, hence milestones instead.
can someone please help!! i have sims 4 and it won’t let me customize my infants facial structure, nose, ears, lips, skin tone etc. only hair, eye color and outfits. i’m desperate to be able to customize. any help would be SO appreciated seeing as o can’t find anything online explaining this. thank you
Its funny That the MCCC Mod is already updated. So i wantend to Change the age Range of the infants (5 days is too short and 20 too Long lmao) … but you can Change for every Age but infants are Not included 😂
Decided to finally have kids after the most recent update. Ending up having twins and they literally broke my game. Couldn’t do anything. They would keep canceling commands and even their own wants. The babies would glitch into full size kids and back down to a baby. It’s so busted. I refuse to play with children in a household until it’s fixed.
I wanted to do the 100 baby challenge with infants and to make it easier for me i gave her a husband because leaving the house is not an option anymore 💀 AND ITS STILL SO STRESSFUL they cry about everything 😭
My problem is my sim has to go to work and I have the father to take care of the child while I go to work with my sim but he doesn’t take care of it 😵💫 not even nanny takes care of infant
You can age up when you’re ready, or when the sim ages up on their own (when aging is turned on). The milestones aren’t crucial for getting a sim to age up, they’re kinda like skills you can earn along the way. Most of them will be earned by the sim just by existing in game; others will be earned by just generally interacting and caring for the infant. There’s a couple that you do have to put some effort into, but you don’t have to if you can’t be bothered or don’t want to. It’s kinda like toddler and child sims in that if you aren’t bothered and are just ignoring them until they’re older; they can age up without any skills and be fine. The infant milestones work the same way, almost like single level skills if the comparison helps.
A Bug that won't let you feed / taking em bath into a whole new level, just because one of your Sim automatically "Check Infant / Toddler" just to disrupt your Care 💀
Is anyone else's game absolutely glitched? My sims can't pick up their infants at all. They can't take care of them at all. Whenever I tell my sim to pick up their infant or whenever they autonomously try to care for them, they can't. They say that they can't go there. Edit: I solved the issue. It was a mod that allowed children to be carried lol. Infants are working fine now :)
They can’t walk, but they can practice standing. Getting them to that point along with crawling does gives them a bonus to the Movement skill when they become toddlers (I believe level two, don’t quote me on that). It just means when they age up to Toddler, they are a bit steadier on their feet right away.
Is there anyone's infant that disliked ice cream because what I found out was all of my infants all loved ice cream so I just wonder if ice cream is a love for all infants? I mean it makes sense if it's true I'm lactosintolerant and real life, and I still love ice cream. I just have to suffer the consequences😅😅

If you have laundry bins, they probably go in there. I found out mine were going to the laundry bins. You'll have to take away the bins to get the mess on the floor. I have to get used to them dropping the bottles on the floor after feedings, though.
The drama of it all! You have no idea! 😂
Infants are real sassy- yet they’re so wholesome so it’s a vibe
Thanks for the info. I had a problem where the game said the kid could now try solid foods and when I tried, she wouldn't touch her plate.
I wish they would have added in give pacifier, a baby monitor, a bouncer and a jumperoo
Very helpful
Top Notch Infant... that means I'll have to restart a Supersim I was making. Thankfully he was only a toddler when I continued, but this makes me wonder; how many lifestages will EA add later down the line that sims could miss out on by aging up?
they could have at least given us a base game changing table -_-
How do you get the adults to actually respond. I have such difficulty getting the adults to do anything. They’ll just stand there after I have asked them to pick up or change diaper. Complete zombies. Any hints
Try having the infant ask them to do it and see if that works
@@UnassumingLlama okay thank you. I also moved out of one house to another and that helped. I don’t know why but… I love playing SIMS, but there are times when I just wonder about the intelligence of mankind. O , sorry the conversation was about SIMS. My bad
My first infant that I played with aged up with a special trait called unhappy infant 💀
The fact that my sims take care of ALL their needs by themselves without me having to interfere, might work on a baby area sooner or later.
Wondering if you looked at non played Households. Do non played sim infants receive happy/unhappy infant reward traits etc?
5 days!! my infants last 19 days!!
Do you have long lifespan on?
my infants always do a runner, lol when i go into game one of my infants is actually miles from home, lol i dont wanna keep them penned in ...
Actually.they do earn skills,if you go in skills on a sim that is able to earn skills then go on an infant,it shows the skills for a quick second! Yw 100 baby players, now you know how to complete the challenge with an infant that has skills ^^
Him saying toddler on accident😂: 3:55
Lol your good man!
is the pink hair sim with the triplets on the gallery
shes cute
How do I stop my infants from catching under legs EVERYTIME I put them to sleep
My infant didn't get the bonus trait when aging up to a toddler, even though it should've gotten 'Top notch infant'. Do you know the cheat to add it?
I also noticed that the toddler and child had milestones do you know anything about that because there is not much information mainly the infants milestones. If you do your infant right you get the top notch infant
Milestones in the older stages are more like “significant life events” and memories, whereas the infants treat milestones more like single level skills. Once the sim is into the Toddler life stage, milestones aren’t as impactful because the actual skills kick in and can be worked on instead. Infants don’t get skills like the other life stages, hence milestones instead.
I been working on practicing to crawl but he just won’t do it frustrating
Do you mean infant state for 5 days in sim life or real life
can someone please help!! i have sims 4 and it won’t let me customize my infants facial structure, nose, ears, lips, skin tone etc. only hair, eye color and outfits. i’m desperate to be able to customize. any help would be SO appreciated seeing as o can’t find anything online explaining this. thank you
Its funny That the MCCC Mod is already updated.
I refuse to play with children in a household until it’s fixed.
they should have created a stroller instead of outdoor crib
I wanted to do the 100 baby challenge with infants and to make it easier for me i gave her a husband because leaving the house is not an option anymore 💀 AND ITS STILL SO STRESSFUL they cry about everything 😭
If the infants energy bar reaches zero the infant will pass out by lying on the ground and will automatically sleep.
My problem is my sim has to go to work and I have the father to take care of the child while I go to work with my sim but he doesn’t take care of it 😵💫 not even nanny takes care of infant
i’m just trying to figure out why my sim won’t changer her infants diaper..😒
Ugh my game keeps crashing after this update and I have no mods
What pack do I need for tummy time??!❤
Growing together!
My sim grew from an infant into a teenager. Is this normal? Idk why this happened.
Where are the baby books 😭
The adorable animations are almost worth the clunkiness of interacting with infants. Almost.
Can I age up my infant with few milestones or do I have to do a few more milestone before I age my infant up??
Waitt when my baby grew up it was a toddler is it rare?
I cannot figure out how to feed the infant in the highchair! It keeps saying my parent Sim can't get there, even tho nothings in the way!! Please help
Same
Does anyone know how to install a baby safety gate on the ps4?
Can someone help me my newborn doesn't age to infant just goes to toddler I already updated and repair but didn't work
Try by removing broken mods, you're supposed to remove all mods and cc
@@tinymeow ok thanks
Did you use 'more traits in cas'? That mod caused it for me
Is anyone else's game absolutely glitched? My sims can't pick up their infants at all. They can't take care of them at all. Whenever I tell my sim to pick up their infant or whenever they autonomously try to care for them, they can't. They say that they can't go there.
Edit: I solved the issue. It was a mod that allowed children to be carried lol. Infants are working fine now :)
Mine is doing that too. It worked fine yesterday when it was just the infant update. Now no one will take care of the babies or toddlers.
I am not surprised. It's EA.
I was trying to find out if you can get your infants to walk.? cause they can learn to stand.? anyone know.?
They can’t walk, but they can practice standing. Getting them to that point along with crawling does gives them a bonus to the Movement skill when they become toddlers (I believe level two, don’t quote me on that). It just means when they age up to Toddler, they are a bit steadier on their feet right away.
Does anyone know if your able to carry an infant up the ladder with the carrying bag or nah
I think so
Don’t get bit by infant vampires
Is there anyone's infant that disliked ice cream because what I found out was all of my infants all loved ice cream so I just wonder if ice cream is a love for all infants? I mean it makes sense if it's true I'm lactosintolerant and real life, and I still love ice cream. I just have to suffer the consequences😅😅
Someone help me I can’t bathe my infant or change their diaper what am I doing wrong?
Do you have a bath on the lot, and is it accessible? You might need to move it so it has a little more space for access.
