I am so happy for all of you girls who have managed to stay home. It was all I ever wanted. But my husband had cancer and passed away, so it wasn't in the cards for me. Now, two of my three grown children live almost a thousand miles away in different states. I'm glad you girls never take it for granted.
My heart goes out to you,it must have been heartbreaking for you,and you had to stay strong for the children.I really think these situations need more support.Hope you get to enjoy life a bit,and forgive yourself because you wanted to do everything and couldn't🙏🩷
@amaliapricopi1736 , thank you. We have a very happy family. Just spread all over the place. But, I miss them every single day. We are lucky if we get them all together at the same time once or twice a year. I sure didn't realize that was going to happen when I was changing diapers.

My fav is I Can Do It With a Broken Heart. Definitely resonate with this song the most. Not from a broken romantic relationship but going through a tough time but not showing emotions to others, and act I'm good.
Love your TTPD sweatshirt! It’s hard to pick a favorite song on that album, as I resonate with so many of the lyrics during different times of my life. Currently, I’m loving “Robin”, “Clara Bow” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”
I rinse my dishes if they need it. I only use the shortest wash on my dishwasher. It works for me. "To each his own." I enjoy your channel😊

I had that happen to some clothes once- where mold/ mildew grew because they were damp and in the laundry basket and I didn’t wash t(em fast enough. Lesson learned and now I make sure there are no damp clothes or pretreated clothes in the laundry basket.

Banana can stain black like that if you dont rinse it straight away! I had to chuck loads of baby shirts because of that exact reason. I learned my lesson pretty quick when we ran out of shirts 😂

For oilstains: just put flour on the stains and rub it in really good. You then can shake out the excess and wash it like normal. You also do that with oil on the floor. Flour binds oil, super easy, super cheap ❤❤

I found mold came easily on baby/kids clothes. Just having kids who spit up or vomit or eating in general, taking the clothes off and throwing in the laundry basket it can create mold quickly

Sue Wolfe- Laundry can be a daunting task. I do something that may help you. The shirts that I want to hang, I put in my dryer for a few minutes to get most oft the wrinkles out, thrn put them on a hangar to finish drying. They're wrinkle-free and ready to go in the closet. They also don't get stretched out by yhe heavier things in the dryer. That may be what's happening to your t-shirts. Try it and see how it works for you, Catherine. I look forward to your next phase of the basement declutter!! 👍👌👏♥️♥️
Handy laundry hint: I hang all of my clothes (not underwear or sock) right out of the dryer while they’re still damp. I give them a good shake and hang them on a rod I installed under a cabinet. No folding-no wrinkles-no ironing. This takes 5-7 minutes depending on the size of the load.

You can recycle textiles at H&M stores near me. Maybe you can bring the stained clothes there to be recycled instead of throwing them in the garbage :)

I love the idea of the capsule too, but living in Alaska, it’s like you, it’s sunny one day, rainy the next, super cold the same days, etc.
I’m trying to make sure I have more sustainable clothes, even if I have to pay a little more, I’m trying to avoid allowing myself to buy random pieces I just hang up. I do have all my hangers backwards too for help with decluttering.
We finally have a big closet after years of having just dressers. My husband said he's going to hang his underwear just to fill up the empty space 😂

I am the same way with putting away laundry. Totally procrastinate! But after you said only 10 minutes I timed myself too and it look me 14 minutes to put away 3 loads! I always think it’s so much longer. I think I’m going to keep timing myself because it was like a race against the clock. Loved the challenge lol. Thank you for all your motivation!!

Been there many times with the mildew from sitting wet. :/ We have a laundry chute so if a wet washcloth goes down it can be a disaster lol!

Just a suggestion. Not to say do it. Your house is wonderful! And you do well. What if you got one of those hanging racks on rollers and put it in the basement for out of season clothes. That way, then they are still available but neatly out of site. They would also be out of the way of your room. Also get a shoe holder for downstairs. Now, this isn't a grip just suggestion. Thanks for your videos 😊

Girl I found a moldy hand towel n the same thing happened but I think I used it to clean up a spill of some sort but I seen it before I washed it. It did get on some of my husbands socks so I threw those out too but it was sooo weird literally happened to me yesterday

Dawn soap helps alot with grease stains
Next time you have a stain don’t get rid of the shirt try dawn dish soap baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. That will get out thoughest stains.

Do you use vinegar in your wash? I find adding a cup of vinegar to the wash gives my t-shirts new life, (and it doesn't leave a vinegar odor.)

If Carson still needs more shorts for the summer, you could cut off the legs from some of the ripped jeans and make shorts out of them.
