A lot of those small panel MP3 players, that you see on Chinese sites, are used in generic brand ride-on toy cars. That's probably one reason why they don't have a power button. Probably 13v-14v would be just right for those.

Yup. It probably has "garage level" sound quality unfortunately. It wouldn't be hard to make something similar with decent quality of sound, but nobody seems to want to tackle it. Sigh. Thanks for commenting.
@@zarboaudioprojects1430 I think you could still use it for a project. Just upgrade it later when something better comes along. I mean, it was $8. A large hamburger combo isn't nearly as feature rich!

What a shame. I have been looking for something like this too. I would want 40 watts for my project but obviously it wouldn't do it. Plus the noise and FM reception just kills it for me. Thanks Tom.

Seems like most of those cheap mp3 players lack a shuffle mode for some reason. That's no good.
I've noticed that as well. Someone once told me that creating a shuffle mode wasn't all that easy. I have no idea, but maybe that's why they don't include it. They don't usually do repeat either, so maybe it's just cost cutting! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I’ve been tempted to get some of these for certain projects - but my biggest complaint is that ALL of them have stupid print/text all over them! I’ve only found one or two that have a clean/simple-text appearance.
