Awesome recommendations! Origin is on my list too, was just waiting for more volumes to come out. Heard great things about Nina the Starry Bride and The Witch and the Knight Will Survive too. I'm reading a manhwa at the moment - Noblesse (don't think there's an official EN release yet, somebody recommended me the anime a while ago, but I found the manhwa online and thought I'd give it a try). Also, finally started Musashi, the novel, so strange to read a "normal" book after so much manga, lol
That's awesome to hear! They're all definitely worth checking out. Since you enjoyed Heart Gear, I think you'd probably also like Origin. I saw the anime had come out a while ago for Noblesse. Never checked it out though. Think there's season 2 out now as well. Haven't really had time to read regular books, but I've been listening to the audiobook for Blood Meridian. It is extremely brutal.
@@eclecticcollector88 Yeah, I've read Blood Meridian a few years ago, pretty gory indeed, but my favorite by him is still The Road. Haven't read Heart Gear yet, but it's on my list too :)
I've had Origin volumes 1 & 2 sitting on my shelf for a minute. Looks like it's time to crack them open. Just finished Suicide Island. Also, nice shirt. Wasn't expecting that. Lol
Hell yeah dude! Totally worth it! Haven't read that one. Looks pretty wild from the cover art. Like survival horror manga? Haha, thanks! I love those guys.
@@eclecticcollector88 yes, it starts off pretty wild then "mellows out" by comparison to the beginning. I enjoyed it. It did start to get repetitive & a little annoying. Mori made some great points & offered some interesting perspectives but he really grinded those pieces of glass into the readers hands for a while if you know what I mean. Lol Some really lovable characters, characters you can hate, characters you can relate to. Should of been 10 volumes, not 17. All in all I don't regret reading it.
Ok I thought The God of High School was totally different to that! This has made me actually want to check it out properly lol! Adding Origin to my list too, that sounds epic!

Hell yeah, man! Those are the core memories! I remember watching just Dragon Ball, when Goku was a kid. Never even considered that it was based on anything else. Definitely shaped the lives of millions of people. 🙌🙌
