I buy my Chevy tracker on 2004 now has 147,000 miles And all the years I only have changed the starter, battery, alternator. Spark plugs, and every 4 months I do the oil change a course only synthetic oil And still works perfectly
I just bought one last week for $1500 with 159000 miles on it. It’s a pretty cool car, reminds me of a jeep. Do you know if parts are hard to find for this car since they don’t make them anymore?
I got this year tracker.must admit they are reliable and cheap to maintain.my work beater that runs great.hardly ever get pulled over in it so it's low profile also.
this was my car in Fairbanks Alaska.... never had a problem with it and it took me all the way Fort Polk, LA.... and Orlando, FL added a command start and some extra fog lights.... best car that I ever owned until I had to trade it in for a Tahoe....
Thanks for the info, I'm looking at an 03 near me aprox $6.888. and just wanted some info. where I live I do need a 4x4 and gets good gas mileage PS do you know if the motor has a timing belt or is it chain? and when to be changed. thanks for ur info!
I just bought a 2000 for $150. 2 WD, auto with 2.0 engine. 199K miles but runs well. The power windows are notorious for locking up but just keep the window tracks lubed with silicone or WD-40 and they're generally fine. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these are RWD with a full ladder frame. Trackers are tough little monkeys. Take care of them and you will be rewarded.
I bought one of these Brand New in 2003. The factory had drilled the holes wrong on the passenger side power window in hundreds of these. Of course the dealership blamed ME because the window kept getting stuck! Mine was in the shop more than what I got to drive it. I loved it until I realized what a giant piece of crap that it was! I paid $25,000.00 for this aggravating pain in the A##! And I will NEVER buy anything new from Chevrolet again thanks to this. Mine was the 4WD Convertible ZR2 package. It ran top-notch, just the small problems that drove me crazy!
I have a 2002 with almost 400 000 miles on it .... They are damn good vehicles... but yes the front windows do tend to get stuck :D just pull the top of the glass towards back of the car and up as you are rolling them up and its no problem...

@@XerxesTheGreatOne use WD40 for the windows. Works like a champ afterwards.
