I wish to sincerely thank you for giving such an in-depth description and visual example to show how to achieve a smooth flowing curving line! I’ve had a need for this so badly and you have given the best and most useful information in successfully adding this to our own work! I honestly can’t thank you enough! 💖💖🌷🦋
oh my goodness, thank you SO very much! What a blessing to come here and read such kind and encouraging words! Im so happy you like it, many blessings to you!
Super nice explained! I did it yesterday, but with a 4mm rope, so it is slightly different , but anyway, for a begginer it is somenthing nice to start with! Thank you for sharing!
Your video, which you just "winged it" is awesome. It is better than many of the more seasoned macrame artists. Keep up the great work. You have the potential to have millions of subscribers!
I can’t tell you just how much that means to me! My stomach does a flip everytime I come to the comment section to answer questions because you never know what your going to read here!😅 Thank you so very much for your kind, thoughtful and encouraging words! I’m so happy you enjoyed the video! Many blessings xo
This is so beautiful! I too only buy my cord from Ganxxet because of how nice it brushes/combs out. I've had so many compliments on the softness of their product! Your wall hanging is absolutely gorgeous! This was very nice of you to do this tutorial!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it:) And yes, no cords compare to Ganxxet, AND made from recycled fibres and no harsh chemicals, WIN-WIN in my books!❤️❤️
I'm so glad I found your channel! I started making macrame bracelets and keychains when I was 6, but it fell to the wayside over the years. Your videos provide simultaneous senses of nostalgia, inspiration, and serenity, so thank you! Keep it up!
Thank you for these kind and encouraging words!! I appreciate it very much.... funny I started doing macrame bracelets etc around 6 years old as well! I’m happy you enjoyed the tutorial ❤️🙏🏼😊
Thank you for this tutorial. I first learnt macarame back in primary school 40 or so years ago (only doing plant hangers) and have recently wanted to give it another try. Happy to have found your tutorials.
I’m so happy to hear it! It’s such a wonderful hobby, thank you for your kind and encouraging words! I hope you enjoy rediscovering this wonderful craft!:)
This piece is absolutely stunning!! I was wondering how you keep the rod up and secured it to the wall. Did you nail the rod directly to the wall? I love the way it's hung up.
Thank you! As for hanging it, I always just put a singly long nail in the wall and then place the center of the dowel on it. Kind makes it look like it’s floating:)
What is the exact cord you used for this project? It’s beautiful and I love your cord. I just know there are so many that are similar. Can you tell me the exact one you use for this?
Your video are super amazing i love to watch them and learn from it😍you give best tutorials Can u plss make a video on all types of macrame cords about its size, and everything plss plss
This will be my first large project, I've done many of your other tutorials - which I love. I have my ganxxet rope on the way. May I ask what scissors you use - I have sharp fabric scissors, but I can never get my fringe straight.
Ok so that is 1mm more than I used.... I don’t have a magic formula unfortunately, especially since cord size from each company varies SO MUCH!!!! If I were you I would cut and extra foot (at least on the parts where there are the most knots!) again, I don’t want to give you the wrong advice, I’d definitely a decent amount to be sure, but I would have to see your cord and compare it to my 5mm, which is definitely a THICK 5mm!
I’m hoping to start this soon! I would like to purchase a clothing rack for larger projects like this, would you happen to know how wide yours is? Thank you and I love your videos:)
Thank you! I believe this is about 3.5 feet wide and it’s adjustable, I have purchased many so I’m not entirely sure, but I thing this one is from IKEA!
I really love this design idea. I did something very similar as I was inspired by your video. I had trouble keeping the two rows of double half hitch knots close together ie. on top of each other. Yours are beautiful. Any advice? Thanks so much. Love it.
First off, thank you!🙏🏼 Now, as for keeping them close I did explain that in the video as I was going through it, BUT I do have a video on the double hitch knot and I’ve included allll of my secrets, tips and tricks there too. It’s too much to type here and much better explained with the visual in the tutorial. Hope this helps.
As for scissors , I’ve seen people post about some super fancy ones, they’re expensive, very expensive, (I’m sorry I can’t remember the name or who’s profile I saw them on!😞) It May have been on Nova Mecury’s Instagram that they were mentioned, I’m not positive though. As for me, I got mine at Walmart, they’re Titanium fabric scissors, they work just fine for me, and I think they were about $12-$14 CAD!
This is beautiful! Thank you for such a great tutorial. It's my first attempt to do any macrame. Will it look good with 4 mm cord as well? How much smaller it's going to be by your experience?
You can most definitely make it with 4mm, it will be a decent amount smaller though and not as chunky for sure! I can’t say exactly how much because I have never made with 4mm so I don’t want to give you the wrong information! I have another wallhanging tutorial that I made with blush 4.5 mm braided cord, it’s got diamond shapes and VERY easy, only square knots. This one might be tricky with the wavy double hitch knots! Let me know if you need help, I try my best to come on once a day and help:)
So beautiful! I'm starting now ♥ just a question: is there a problem to cut and glue the upper filler cords as soon as I finish that upper line? it's just that I have to attache the ends to lamp and another chair while working on it. What do you think? Thank you ♥
I tried to use a straight iron on a project in the past and I had no luck. Nothing really happened. Any advice? Besides getting this amazing ganxxet product!
Some cords just do not fringe nicely no matter what! I use a pet brush, do it once, let it breathe for a day helps, and then I do it again making sure to go from both sides(front and back).
HERMOSO TRABAJO Y LA EXPLICACIÓN EXCELENTE, SOLO QUE NI ENTIENDO LAS MEDIDAS DEL PALO Y CUANTAS CUERDAS SON Y DE QUE MEDIDA, GRACIAS ANTICIPADAS POR LA INFORMACIÓN...🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks so much for the tutorial! I just finished mine and I love it... accept that I didn’t follow your suggestion for going through Ganxxet for the 5mm cord and mine looks so much smaller than yours. I am planning on ordering from Ganxxet and was wondering if you are using the 5mm in white or natural? Thanks again!
I’m so happy you liked the tutorial! It can be a tricky one!:) As for the cord, I used the natural in 5mm . It’s the best rope , and no other ropes can fringe out like theirs and go/stay straight!
I have never used it as one but I think if you used a thinner, cord, make it a bit shorter, I think perhaps it would work beautifully! But please remember, I have not done it, this is just my guess!♥️♥️
I just saw your short for the mushroom wall hanging. In the description on the short, it says there is a full description in your page. I can’t find it. Can you post the link please,?

I just use fabric scissors as well! It just take a lot of patience and it’s a lot of work to be honest.... comb, trim, comb, trim!
Also, thank you!!! It makes me so happy to hear you finding them useful! 🙏🏼❤️
@@soulfulnotions2648 I feel like the cutting is the hardest part - guess that comes with practice :-)
It’s definitely the most tedious part for me!!! Sometimes I get so frustrated I have to leave it for a day or so and come back to it!😅
Beautiful!❤
Thank you so much!❤️🙏🏼
Love, love, love this!!!! However, I would like to make it using 6 mm 3 strand cord. Any idea on how I would figure out my cord lengths????
Ok so that is 1mm more than I used.... I don’t have a magic formula unfortunately, especially since cord size from each company varies SO MUCH!!!! You can just add more cords to the ends, but no I don’t have an exact pattern.

Natural!

Hi I am interested in making this project. Appreciate if you can let mr know how many spools did u use to complete this wall hanging.

I just saw your short for the mushroom wall hanging. In the description on the short, it says there is a full description in your page. I can’t find it. Can you post the link please,?
Hello, here is a link. ua-cam.com/users/sponsor_channel/UCTVqmbd_Iwu4IIW-931TcPQ
It’s also on my main page if you are on a computer, also under memberships at the top of my main page, and at the top when you go into the playlist titled “members only”, as well as on several posts and in the description on my recent videos.
What diameter dowel are you using and where do you typically buy your dowels?
This was about an inch, I buy them from the lumber store , cut, sand and stain them myself!
😍😍😍😍😍❤️ LOVE IT
Thank you sooo very much! 🙏🏼❤️😊
pięknie bardzo dziękuję
Maravilhosa 👏👏👏👏
thank you so much!
Could someone note how long the dowel would have to be? Thank you
How do you keep your sides straight? Mine are pulling inward.
It sounds like it may be your tension is varying!
❤
how long did this take you about? and how much did it cost?
I was filming so it took about 5 times longer than if I were just knotting without worrying about filming and teaching. Also I knot very fast so I can’t say how long this would take most people...
Also, how do you stop the fringe twisting back up,
That is all explained in the video in detail
Can I do this with a 3mm cord?
Yes you totally can, it will just be much smaller though!
Lindo.
Thank you!🙏🏼🙏🏼
Do you sell this cord?
Yes I have some available in my Etsy shop! I am not able to post direct links but if you go on Etsy search: Soulful Notions in shop name and it should pop up. It is the 5mm 3 ply rope!
Where did you get the dowel
I buy them from the lumber store, cut, sand and stain them myself!
How do you hang this on the wall?
I find the centre and just place it on a longer mail. That gives the floating effect. I’m not a fan of the cords to hang them !
How thick is the dowel?
About one inch, but diameter doesn’t matter at all or also I would have included it!
Alguém sabe dizer se tenho como ver a tradução para o português aqui pelo celular?
Não dá para ser traduzido?
Can this be done with single strand soft cord 4mm?
You could probably do a smaller version of it but I don’t recommend this size. It won’t hold or look the same at all!😣
Ok thank you 😊
