Hey Guys! I've been having some issues with my camera showing different colors. The ribbon on the thumbnail in real life was purple in color, but I see blue. What causes this change in color? How do I fix it? This problem has happened to me multiple times usually with the color blue.
I’m not sure if this is the solution, especially since only blue seems to be affected by it but it might be that the camera has auto white balancing or generally something off with the balancing which causes the colours to appear different on camera. In that case it might help to try to manually correct it according to your lighting.
My theory is that the ribbon is not actually purple, a mixture of red and blue, but true violet. Purple activates the red and blue pixels on camera and screen, but violet, being just past blue on the spectrum and very far from red, only activates the blue pixels.
Seriously every country in East and Southeast Asia puts their fried noodles in bread and I’m so glad my mom passed that down to me too cause idc it’s carbs in carbs. It’s GOOD 🤤🍞🥖 (Chili pancit canton on tasty with a slice of cheese ✌🏼👌🏻)
Now I’m still learning day by day but as a film student, your color problem seems to be a simple white balance issue with your camera! White balance is simply how your camera sees and takes in the color white or any real grey scale color for this matter; however it dictates the color white by the indoor/outdoor color temperatures such as 3200k/5600k; the 32 standing in as blue light or as outdoor light as the 56 is indoor light or tungsten/orange light! An imbalance of these can cause two things, one: the white in a video to look more warm/cool depending on whether the orange or purple is thrown awry or discolor really similar colors like making orange look red or purple look blue! How is it thrown off? Simply put given a bunch of both colors in the frame (yellow/orange-y bun, table, skin color and general indoor lighting (tungsten) vs the single purple ribbon) and we know the white looks white, then it would simply mean your camera decided to instead shift the hue of your ribbon to a more blue in a feeble attempt to “balance” the purple out given everything to the camera’s view as a majority: is yellow/orange. Too much yellow in frame? Fix it by adding some blue! Why? By adding the blue it helps the camera make sure your white, well, looks white, they are opposites so they cancel each other and make a neutralish color (white in this case)! It can be difficult to properly white balance under the contrasting colors with the lighting conditions, but if it didn’t turn your ribbon blue, your white would probably instead look either light blue or a dingy yellow! But overall, to fix this issue, I’m unsure of what camera you have but look up the white balance setting and manually white balance. It will generally involve you holding a white piece of paper or solid white object in frame under your lighting conditions to adjust how the camera is taking in the light! Also make sure your food or the color that is shifting in hue (the purple bow and food) is in frame when you white balance! The camera will take in those colors into consideration and adjust accordingly; meaning, if you white balance at the start of recording but by the end don’t re-white-balance for the plating with the contrasting colors, it’ll mess up again! Helpful tip also: try not to have any glares of overhead light or any stand alone lights (like the head of a ring light in frame for example, which by how you make these vids, I doubt that’d ever show up in frame; as it would throw off the white balance as well!) and that should do it! As long as the white paper/object is under your lights, with whatever objects are contrasting in color it should work! The reason why nothing else changed is because they, technically speaking: are! But, the colors like the metal and the wood are either so dull/greyscale or warm that the color shift isn’t as visible as say: the complete opposite color: blue! I record football games as a camera operator and orange jerseys are the worst, always show up red! But I hope this made sense and sorry for my rambling! Love your videos and a long time follower, never knew I’d use my cinematography knowledge here but here we are! :D Hope this helped!
I remember Emeril Lagasse talking about one of his favorite childhood eats was a Chow Mein Sandwich from his favorite Chinese restaurant in Fall River, MA. Sounds so carby, but yummy!
too long to explain? sure, i'll help u bud! :) ''yaki'' is japanese to 'fry' meaning that after you cook the noodles, you fry it a bit along with the meat and veggies. And it is THE BOMB. I don't have such luxuries such as bonito flakes or dried nori flakes or even THE yakisoba sauce, but i can work any yakisoba with local ingredients. Also, wheat noodles and rice together means double carbohydrates, so watch out. Not saying you should STOP doing it, just be careful y'all. Your lives matter ;)
I just love videos and thank you for patience and persistence. Personally I don’t mind you augmenting the recipes to your taste. In fact you could do “Genshin Recipes” but better. You can show us how to make the recipes easier or better on flavor. Plus you can revisit and revise older recipes. Sorry if this comment is too long. Sending love and good vibes! 💛
Honestly noodles on bread are a great combo, as long as you have the right bread. Either milk bread or some kind of brioche. I find regular white toast to be too dry and chewy in a bad way.
Omg this almost reminds be of once upon a time all I had was bread and leftover spaghetti and made a sandwich out of it. Except this looks way better. Freaking homemade hotdog bun action hell yeah Please be my mother and cook for me, thanks
Looks great. Not gonna lie, I usually eat my Mi Goreng in a bun even though I know it's all carbs. Anything we could do to make the bun a little softer than yours looked? It's a little easier and less messy with a soft bun.
I cant stand eating carbs in carbs. It's one of the greatest food sins to me. Like putting bread crumbs on macaroni and cheese. Putting noodles in a sandwich is like just putting more bread in it. The carbs (noodles/bread) are a delivery system for the sauces/fillings/meats, not to deliver the bread with itself.
This looks soooo good... Great work! Also, I'm not sure exactly if this is the issue, but the purple color you're describing sounds like it's too vivid for your camera's color range. That particular purple skirts the line of blue and purple, so your camera is probably just interpreting it as more of a blue. I have a few rosebushes in my yard, and some of the roses are so brightly colored that my camera can't process the color accurately (they're highlighter pink and Diluc hair red). This has also happened to me when taking pictures of sunsets. As for a solution, I'm not too sure unfortunately. Hope that helps!
"It's all carbs, it's not satisfying" *angry Osakan noises* I've bought more yakisoba pan from family mart while doing study abroad than I'd like to admit... I do regret not eating better food in Japan more often while I had the chance.
sometimes the perception of miscoloration also happens between 2 different type of screens: say a PC monitor & phone screen that could be caused by difference between the screen's *color range*
Honestly I think Itto probably probably holds some sort of meat in his other hand to eat bites with the sandwich and the meat. I mean the guy basically looks like he would do a luffy thing

Maybe are the lights, the artificial illumination can affect the color, I think that's can be fixed by using more yellow lights or a natural source
