Those concept steering wheels are so cool but i think when it comes down to it it will be really unhandy because of the huge gap of grabbing space instead of the normal 360° area of holding I mean in a panic you can miss it

How to make easy things stupidly difficult.
Little features like that are exciting because they're broadly practical and may find their way into cars most people can afford. Million dollar cars are awesome, but gyro cupholders are more relatable.
I love BMW but some times they are unfair with there costumers and there customer services out of the European union countries are bad with my younger brother 17yo on a 2016 sport model he have a problem in the shift they told him they will fix it for 24000 dollar he sold the car and got a new one 2017 here in Saudi Arabia and the other three Arabic gulf union countries Kuwait Qatar and UAE the prices for repairing a car or buy it especially Europeans car are the highest in the world and that really unfair

I enjoyed the video immensely due to the very detailed in-depth description of the car.

Hans Zimmer is a LEGEND!! He was the one who created all the iconic music for the world changing Miami Vice tv show in the 80’s. It was Miami Vice that was the very first tv show to ever implement music and soundtracks. Having times all throughout each episode where no dialogue was spoken at all, and for many minutes on end. They let the lyrics, and sounds of the music speak for the dialogue. Between Michael Mann’s creative, and one of a kind directing style, and the amazing and legendary style of Hans Zimmer was the very reason as to why that show was not only the most popular show on tv. But completely changed everything about how tv shows were created. That tv show had such a huge impact on society, and pop culture all over the world. An impact so incredible that we are still feeling the ripple effects from it today. Hans Zimmer is definitely the one, and only, man to create the new sound of driving.

This concept is quite a bit to take in . I have to say, the design alone is Mad. So sexy! I hadn't heard that car manufactures have started minimizing the amount of leather they use in cars in the future! Wow! Thanks for sharing this one! BMW always showed hi-tech and Avant Garde features in their concept cars but never dared to put any of these into their production cars, e.g.:
- digital camera side mirrors (first to show and test, on an i8, but still not available; instead, Audi e-tron has it on option, Honda E is going to have it as standard when release, and a few other car brands offering as option);
- first to use Matt paintwork in a concept car (but never on production cars until Lamborghini and subsequently some others used such paintwork);
- first to use LED on production cars but only for minor lighting such as directional signal lighting; instead, Audi has the honour of having the first LED headlights on a production car and pretty daytime running lights that started a trend in every manufacturer thereafter. BMW already had the technology then, but failed or dared not to use in production;
- they demonstrated running directional signal lights in a concept 3 series but again, failed to use. Instead, we see Audi's and Lexus' having them on the road today;
- BMW has been testing laser headlamps long ago, but Audi has it first on production cars;
- it's the first German car manufacturer to produce a fully electric car (the i3), though an anaemic one, and after 7 years, it's still that while Audi and Mercedes-Benz already have full-fledge luxury electric cars for sale. Even Jaguar has the i-Pace; Peugeot, Renault, Nissan, GM, Hyundai, Kia, MG, Porsche, and many others all have proper production electric cars.
I could go on with a few more, and other potentially great products such as the shape-changing fabric skin car, a full electric i8 (or at least a next generation one), etc. So, for the gyro-balanced cup holder, do you think you can see it in any near future BMW?
I read that BMW had the people with great ideas and skills to be at the leading edge of car tech. Unfortunately, their top people were gutless, with no foresight and always played it safe, making it just a follower instead of leader of technologies and trends.
I was quite surprised that the i8 actually became a production car! Together with the X6 which started a coupe SUV trend, these 2 were the rare moments that BMW had shown courage to tread on unknown ground!
Therefore, whatever BMW shows or demonstrates nowadays, don't believe that you'll see it on a production BMW soon or at all. Instead, you might see them in another manufacturer's car!

Remember that Corsets were ALL THE RAGE at one time in history. Guess what? WAY WORSE than just a slight struggle. By all accounts, corsets are uncomfortable at best if worn correctly and caused many irreversible health problems for those who wore them correctly for any decent amount of time. Now they are still a fashion statement but they are worn loosely (incorrectly) but this keeps people from dying. I am certain that BMW will figure something out about the struggle.
