Bike needs to be straight upright to drain all the oil out, not leaning on the kickstand, left a bit of dirty oil in there. changing the oil in a bike 101.
The Rotella diesel oil is an exception because the T5 and T6 are Jaso ma rated and safe for our wet clutches. I have been running half Rotella 15 W 40 and half Rotella T6 synthetic in my FJR 1300 for nearly 100,000 miles with great success but that is the only automobile oil that I consider the exception
You should NEVER use motor oil intended for an automobile in a motorcycle. Your using Mobil 1 high mileage car oil, that's going to cause problems with your clutch You need to use the Mobil 1 4T motorcycle oil if you want to use that brand
I have the same Nighthawk. Honda put the drain plug on the high side. ( when on side stand ) there is no center stand. So if you stand the bike up straight while draining you wil get another 1/2 pint of dirty oil out. BTW I put in Mobil one 10-40 for cars and a Denso filter .
Thanks, I haven't done this in 40 years but it all came back to me. Good video.

gibbyh65 FIRST THING I NOTICED

Yes, the wet clutch part is the most crucial to keep in mind! Thanks for the informative comment. Hope you have a wonderful day, Cheers.
TheMakarov9 I too use 5w40 t6 on my 07 r6 too, no problem as I ride the bike pretty hard
you never used a new sealing ring on the drain plug
crush washer ^^
Anyone please tell me how many Liters of Engine oil that cb750 requires? And the maximum of engine oil??
That's wrong way to change the oil.
Your only supposed to use a rag to tighten the oil filter . If you don`t you will have hell getting it off.
You are using the wrong oil yes it takes 10 W 40 but motorcycle oil not car oil car oil has added detergent in it that’s not good for motorcycles
What additives should I be afraid of?
You didn't video the most dificult part. Getting the oil filter out of the exhaust cage.
But they did...

Hi, I use Rotella T in all my motorcycles, this is my buddies bike and what he had gotten for it.
I guess it's better than not changing the oil.
Ive owned 75 motorcycles. Never used Motorcycle oil. Some Goldwings ran to 200,000 miles.
I use synthetic whatever is on sale.
