quality seems to be irrelevant, or effects something other than skill strength (numerically) ive had green or even white weapon masters with 120+ in weapon skills, sometimes multiple 120+, and ive had many MANY red quality(the best) with nothing above 110-115. other than which skills will be high(shown by their title, weaponmaster, guard, etc..) it seems to be completely random gen from 100-120, could come out good or not regardless of their listed quality level.
The quality only does 2 things from my knowledge: 1 - Has a higher potential to hit top tier proficiency caps (though RNG seems to offset this most the time anyway) 2 - Better base stats (HP/Stamina etc.) Novice < Skilled < Master seems to be a much more reliable indicator of proficiency caps in my experience (for example, I have a common/white Skilled Laborer with 3/4 proficiencies over 120)
Rarity affects all base stats. Health, Stam, Resilience, weight, everything. The type (Skilled Guard vs Master Guard for example) determines which skills will have higher proficienices. Hunters are likely to have high dual blades, bow, and gauntlets.
@@thedeceasedbandthis is true, if you want to keep them in base the rarity is irrelevant only the “skill” . But if you want to use them in fights and other try to get the red or gold (red being legendary) and the skill in to account for
This is vital information that's great to know, I've been passing on anything that's simply not legendary & the hunt has been hard. At least with raising any mounts I could see the stat difference between qualities of animals that were the same level, hence why I kept was doing the same with tribesmen.
You can always use bandages on them to heal them while they are in coma. Just put them in their inventory, click on it and hit "E" and it heals the damage.

Is there a max level to the captives? If so, would it be better to get a lower level and level them in a specific area so they don't max out before getting them to the max proficiency in the area you want to level them in. ie; If you get a master swordsman, say, that has a high level and could only take them a little further before maxing out their level, would it be better to get a low level something and train them in nothing but swords to get more of a sword proficiency before they max out on leveling? this hold Q thing is not working on my end already upgraded my node and everytime i hold Q even if it is near or far on an enemy that target display does not appear
It should be the quality assessment node, I don’t use the rich mask and I’m able to use this feature. Not sure why yours isn’t working. All I can suggest is you have the proper node repaired and keep your mask energy up

Chosen one only influences the loot they get from chests, iirc. It isn’t actually a combat trait. The best fighter I’ve gotten was a red novice guard, so titles aren’t a guarantee either.
They really need to introduce a way to move your tribesman. You should be able to tell them to go to another bonfire or at least respawn them at a different bonfire.
I mean they do lose some of the negative/ red symbols from progressing through some of their proficiency I had a couple of people level up and lose some negatives from either harvesting trees and one I was using to get some copper just to see what or how good the added perk of chosen one was not too sure might be not working didn't notice when harvesting copper if I was getting more of the rare resources
@user-ui8be2hk6l they have a chance to drop red perks as well from proficiency leveling as well (I haven't noticed it yet either, but I've seen a bunch of posts on it)
@@robertsnead2319 what's a red perk? I've been upgrading random tribemen during hours never saw that, if you 're talking about the tier of the perk it's related to the grade. If you wanna be sure your character get T3 perks chose a master. Novice will be T1 and have a chance to upgrade to T2 then T3 (every 10 levels). Wich means if you want 5 T3 perks it's not gonna happen on anything lower than master. Ohh red perk, just understood, negative trait! Yeah it seems, but only during the levelling phase, once level cap reached 50 for me right now they will keep the red perk.

If you mean to focus in to a tribesman or animal, you just press and hold the "Q". It will focus in if you have that node healed on said mask in the video.

You want the red symbol not the gold fyi, you passed up a red skilled porter that you said was a body, he was sleeping in a hut though.
