my h6 makes a loud noise when I put the level on 10. it's a noise from the channel, with nothing plugged in, just turning up the volume and listening through the headphones, a Pro Porta connected directly to the recorder. it is common?
If you push two track buttons at the same time, like 1&2 or 3&4, you can link them so you’ll have a stereo track instead of two mono tracks. To unlink them you would just push them at the same time again. Thank you for watching. Keep creating!
Like(d) this video. Only wonder if the 20+ tips & tricks sequel will ever come, Zane. I assume I'm not the only susbscriber who would like to watch it ... And there's still a lot of H6es out there in use. Cheers!
Thanks for informatioins..I have 2 secret quesitons. Can you prefer for the film and videography the Zoom H6 ? Zoom 6 For interviews 2 person can uses or no ?
no clue why youtube suggested your content to me (ah, okay, I own a H2n and the algorithm may think I should buy an upgrade) … but, however, your video totally got me: seeing ‚soul mining‘ in the background has taken me decades back in time to my youth … remembered me that I should listen to some really good music again - thanks, pal! ... uh, and, yes: despite I'm not the target audience for a H6n - nice review! well done!
Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment even though the content wasn’t really what you were looking for. That Soul Mining album is awesome. “This is the Day” is one of my favourite songs. The new wave/post punk scene had some great music come out of it. Thanks again for watching. Keep creating! 👊👍
Thank you! I run the music department at a small high school, and yes I’m looking for a device to record music. I will watch further. Subscribe. And - Love the Ramones album cover
Hello, thank you for your excellent video. My question is that I am going to record the sound of a river, for example, but sometimes the sound of the wind enters the recording and ruins it. I wanted to ask, can you guide me? If not, please introduce the microphone for both mobile and camera. I will be grateful
I was wondering if you can help me in regards to the quality of the hardware. I purchased the H6 used and I noticed some switches felt a bit of play/looseness but they still work. The xy mic has a bit of play after locking into the 90 and 120 degree. And the hold/power switch has a bit of looseness to it. Do you recall any of these little things from your purchase? Much thanks
I have until now used my Zoom H4n as an audo interface for my recordings (and an AT microphone). What I always wonder: how good is the Zoom H4m / H5 / H6 pre-amp + phantom power as compared to a stand-alone audio interface. The latter often boast the eminent quality of their pre-amps and indeed, pre-amps can make a difference in the transparency, dynamics and "airiness" of a microphone recording of, say, vocals or acoustic guitar. So while the Zoom interface certainly works: how good is the pre-amp-. Any views ???? Thanks for any input you (or other viewers) can provide.
I haven't used the h4n but if it has the same preamps as the H6 then they are very clean and transparent with quite a bit of gain. I am able to use a Shure SM7b with it and that mic needs a lot of clean gain.
@@AudioTechTV thanks. i have read that the H6 has better pre-amps than the h4. My doubt was whether the h6 preamp is as good or better as that of (cheapter) stand alone audio interfaces. I am looking to replace the h4 as the microphones are bent and one is now loose - and I have been using the mics also for recording acoustc guitar while for vocals I use my AT2050 with the h4 as audio-interface
I found an issue with H6 that when the signal clipped too hard, it actually causes the phone output malfunctioned with keep produce static like white noise. Can't be stop until restart the H6... Just wondering do you also have this problem when you use it?
You can connect it. But because it doesn’t have a hi z input it may not sound optimal. Give it a try and hear how it sounds. If you think it sounds good then continue with it. If it doesn’t sound the greatest then you may want to grab a DI box and use that with it. Thank you for watching. Keep creating! 👊👍
Thank you so much for sticking around for that long! I really appreciate it. I don’t own a H1 but it is a pretty popular recorder so I’ll see if I can grab one. What would you be using it for?

Great review, buddy. Can the inputs be linked as stereo pairs for keyboard recording?

I love the song choice for the guitar testing 😊 thanks for the helpful info

Did you ever make that video with the 20 tips and tricks of using the Zoom H6?
I found an issue with H6 that when the signal clipped too hard, it actually causes the phone output malfunctioned with keep produce static like white noise. Can't be stop until restart the H6... Just wondering do you also have this problem when you use it?
Can it be used to record rap vocals?
Great video . Is it possible to plug an acoustic guitar directly into the recorder or do I need a hi z input like the zoom h8?

wow mine was packaged COMPLETELY differently. only the unit, the xyh6 capsule, and batteries. none of the other stuff was included
Did you get the Zoom H6 All Black? It comes with less stuff but I think the price is a bit lower.
How is the sound
I use tascam recorders

Why do I sound like I’m in a can when I transfer zoom h6
to audacity?
Could be a difference in sample rate or bit depth..

Looks good but outside my budget which is bargain basement. 😏
