First time I got a vertical mandoline, I wasn't particularly a fan. But if you have tough root produce and you can't steady yourself on the normal mandoline, you're going to love this one. This one is ideal for anyone that likes standard-size fries. The one I have now doesn't cut any thicker than the fast-food cut. Not being left-handed, I have to use it in the opposite direction.
OUTSTANDING video. I just ordered one of these. i had just bought another brand, and it was so cheaply made. this one looks durable. and I like the way it all stores together. No looking for parts for it, when i want to use it. One question...does the yellow plunger handle stay in place. the one i just bought is horrible. the plunger keeps coming out. thanks.
I appreciate your comments! I feel you are going to love ours and get a lot of use out of it. Our plunger stays in place. It can't come out!! I hope you subscribed to my channel! If you are not already working with a consultant, I would love to be your PC - go-to-person!
Can you do criss-cut fries on this? I just have one, I used it for french fries and slicing - IT IS AMAZING! But I see the criss cut option on the one dial but haven't figured it out:)
I'm sorry to hear that. I know this might sound basic, but put the food holder on one side, then make sure you have the gears/nobs on the other side. Kinda use both hands on either side and pull open a little and down at the same time. I could perhaps make a video to help you.
Thank you so much for asking! It is in the catalog for $70 however, if you host a party you can get it for 50% off. I would love to "pamper" your kitchen. Please reach out to me. What is criss cut? Sorry... no idea what that means.
The dials are your thickness, then we have slice, julienne, and French Fry.
@@CookingwithLouise waffle fries like Chick-Fil-A
Yes, but you’d have to flip the potato as you slice so you get the pattern.
Mine will not snap in place to store

Anyone else have flashbacks of the Disney cartoon movie of Aladdin?
Why? I don't get it? Explain.
