Such fun and looks great. But I have to tell you Jamie, 2 little tweaks. Always let the wool yarn cool a bit before rinsing because the temperature change will create felting. Similarly its not a great idea to run water directly on the wool as it also then will be prone to felt. I suspect you might be using superwash, so it might not be as obvious. But not everybody will and might like to try this with real wool or other natural fine fibers . So best to keep to the general principles so that it is applicable to all of them . Felting happens unless avoiding it with these 3 conditions: so (no ) agitation, change of water temp, or running water directly on the fiber. It can also just full the yarns so they might stick together depending on which fiber used (like fine merino, alpaca or angora), or anything with a fine micron count .

Perfect!! I love dyeing with koolaid! I've dyed handspun, super wash, sock yarn, bulky and I've never had any felt! I've been careful to let it cool, rushed it and rinse quickly in cool water, probs done everything wrong and it's Always fun!
