- With its abundance of artists, galleries and museums, Paducah is widely considered one of Kentucky's most creative communities. The town sought and received a UNESCO designation as a City of Crafts and Folk Art.
The heart of Paducah is its downtown. From the earliest explorations of Kentucky's Western Waterlands region, the confluence of the Ohio and Tennessee rivers brought people to Paducah's riverfront and the city grew from its banks.
Home to the National Quilt Museum, fiber artists around the country come here each April for the American Quilter's Society Annual Quilt Show and Contest. Downtown is also home to the Yeiser Art Center, Maiden Alley Cinema, the Carson Center, and the Paducah School of Art.

My wife and I live in the St Louis area. Paducah has been a favorite one or two day getaway destination for decades.
I moved to Paducah Kentucky 4 yrs ago and it is a wonderful town. The people are amazing!
Everyone should visit Paducah. You actually feel the history there. Lots of sights, shopping, fascinating places take you back in time. Go, if you haven't.
Nice representation of Paducah. Born and raised. Well traveled and will settle in Paducah.
Paducah, here we come! Can’t wait to experience first hand!
Did you go.
Beautifully narrated. Paducah is a fascinating city, full of historical significance. After seeing this video, Paducah is going on my bucket list.
I visited Paducah in 2023, from Northumberland in the UK. Everyone was really friendly and to be honest I was reluctant to leave. If I could live there, I would.
I'm from there and there's nothing like it. I'm in the process of returning to live and to see all the Tilghman football games. Go Big Blue! Class of 87.
My beautiful beautiful hometown.
I live in Waco Texas now.
Our city recently sent a delegation to Paducah to learn how they revitalized the downtown after a new outlying mall killed downtown retail.
I can’t wait to see how Waco does the same with its rich history and the new money flowing in from home fixer upper projects.
Excellent review and very proud of this heritage
A wonderful town!
I grew up here ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh yeah I'm gonna do the quilt museum after I catch the symphony concert. Good times eh?

Happy 8th of August.
When my father was initially discharged from the army after his convalescence in El Paso at the end of WWII, he became a gopher for Sen. Barkley in DC. He always spoke well of the Senator, which was remarkable in itself, as he generally held elected and other officials in complete disdain.
Over at city hall we have cribbage game and boiled chicken dinner every Tuesday night. Some idiot dummped his whole chicken dinner down the toilet. Then tried to flush it causing an overflow at city hall that went down the steps and out in to the street even. What a mess we had on our hands.
It looks great but I would have big concerns about flooding there.
There is a flood Wall to prevent a flood
Well I’m 8 and I’ve lived in Paducah for 8 yrs so yep
It flooded in about 1930 and it was above houses and everything animals died people were traveling on boats
We always have that covered, the flood walls have recently been put up a lot of times and every time was successful.
