I am in absolutely in love with the way you guysladmire each other and are not afraid to talk about all the horrible issues associated with being interracially intertwined. But what I really like is how in regards to you guys' marriage, you all do everything with a purpose and thoughts or thinking ahead. You all carefully made decisions left and right to ensure that when you got married everything would be alright. At the age of 19 I believe that's how you oughta do it! Your answer to how are your children going to identify as, as far as race, is the MOST PROFOUND response that I have EVER heard!!! It was so perfectly and faithfully stated/linked. I dated an incredible beautiful dark skinned young man back in the 80s. Neither family approved. We let them persuade us and I have often wished, even 40 years later, that we hadn't. I have just found you two and am on video number five, maybe. I have a feeling I will watch ALL of your videos today. Thank you for your openness, willingness to share God, your intentionality, and love for one another. I will be praying for you both and your family. The fact that you mentioned “there is no race” - I subscribed immediately. Many people don’t quite understand the concept of there is no “race”. The only “race” is the human race. There are different ethnicities. If only the whole world realized this concept. God bless you two beautiful people!

I have issues with calling prejudice/hate by people who have never colonized/subjugated another nationality RACISM... The term RACISM in my view is only valid when directed towards a group that has history of hateful acts towards another and supported by legislated laws of the land they colonize... nonetheless love you guys and I thank God for your testimony that God can keep young people pure until marriage, it’s not only people my age that God kept pure. He is faithful. A LOVING church family might be what you need more than a multicultural one. When my husband and I emigrated to Saskatchewan Canada, there were times we were the only people of African descent but our children(one born here) were loved and embraced and now as older teens, 19 & 17, the church is more multicultural & our teens have stayed in church. Evening and morning Family worship together with encouraging their own relationship with God plays a huge role too.

This was great. My best friend of 2 years and I started dating about 3 weeks ago. It’s been amazing. I know it’s the beginning but we’re literal just best friends with different benefits still. 😂 (nothing bad - we’re totally abstaining until we marry)
He is white and I remember when there was a time I had so much bitterness towards white people especially after watching the Trayvon case. But ever since God truly took hold of me two years ago, I’ve slowly let go of the bitterness and division. So thank God for that If I’m being honest, this guy is everything I could ask for and he was my friend first. Yes we are very different personality wise and we’ve had our time of disagreement but Christ’s gentleness through Him is beautiful. And man he’s my guy😂. Totally my bff for life.

People rush everything but you know that the relationship has seasons. Friendship, Mate, Fiance, Spouse, and then parent. Set your foundation, time is needed (recommended minimum 2 years) so take pleasure in being a spouse which feels soooo good. Then enjoy parenting.
