You have no idea how much this video helped me, even the small info you gave in the beginning about your MOS. That’s what I’m currently trying to get now, have to retest since my GT score was a 101. There are NO videos on UA-cam about this job so PLEASE keep it up! Subscribed! ☺️
Can you talk more about the training for the MOS, what stuff you generally learned and what we should try to know beforehand?
Monica Rios thanks!! Of course I’m actually working on some different ones I’ve just been really busy since I’m new and orienting the floor im working on but thanks for subscribing new videos coming soon! 😊
I’m a 68 whiskey and I remember someone got recycle from the course and got 68 C for reclass.
If I understood correctly, your friend failed 68w? If thats the case, Im not going to lie... but if he struggled to do 68w coursework, he will not survive 68c. There are too much to know for this kind of MOS in so little time.
@@whitneydeleon3662 I’m pretty sure that’s not how it works tho lol we maybe things were different 2 years but I’m a 68w and I met a lot of people that failed 68c and got reclass to 68w
@@POKEFAN023 that’s literally what they’re saying .. ?? the 68C is a much harder course than the 68W . if you cant pass 68W you definitely not passing 68C
@@jailynlomas no the person who made post said that he knows someone that failed 68W and got reclassed to 68C. Doesn’t make sense tho unless he was NG. I know in the NG you can sometimes get a better reclass
If you enjoy the 68C MOS, I would highly recommend AECP! I am 1 semester shy of graduation.
OrganicChemistry2 congrats!!! 🎉
Im curious to know more about the acep program
you so damn lucky you got this mos.. this the one I wanted
I’m in school for LPN right now but I’m interested in becoming an army nurse. Do you have any advice for us who have kids? In your honest opinion would it be harder? And have you came across anyone who joined that had kids and what their experience was? 😅
Wait 6 12 hour shifts and an 8 hour shift? Do you not get any days off I’m confused
Where is this bed spread from??
6 12s and an 8.... no days off??
Callie C in a 2 week pay period. Shoulda been more specific lol so I work 7 days out of the 14
marta orellana oh okay I understand. I was like JEEZ that's nuts at first haha
I was going to ask the same thing lol
marta orellana omg that’s amazing
What were the barracks like at ft sam and when do you find out where you go for the 2nd phase of 68c school
teleah jackson we were actually in bays for the first phase. Here in Washington the barracks were much nicer.
What was basic training like
I wanted to reclass to 68c but they not reclasing
Wait what? You can’t reclass to 68C?
Can u wear black socks with the uniform?
I'm about to reclass and I'm really hoping to get 63w... could you do another video in depth? Or even message me? I have so many questions..
Keely Flinchum do you mean 68c? Sure I’m working on another video right now and feel free to message me on Instagram
How often do u deploy?
Jazz Black Valcin I haven’t deployed but it all depends on the Unit you’re assigned to
How did you do on your asvab and how do you handle studying for nursing? Im trying to get 68c rn.
abbie abel I talked about that in my newest video 😊. As far as the asvab I can’t remember my exact scores but they were good enough for this mos lol actually they were good 🙂 good luck I hope you get this MOS if you really want it 😊
I passed the asvab with a 43 and I'm currently in school as an LPN do you think I can practice with that score? Please help!🙏
If you pass the nclex, you can acasp , they possibly can do a line exception for it.
Hey wat is ur fb got question
Were you an LPN going in? Did you need AIT? If you did not need AIT, did you feel like you should have gone to it? This is the path my daughter is taking, she is at Basic now.
I have a question do you have to enlist for 6 years for this mos or did you choose to do the six years
Lean Mean 6 years for this mos
@@martaorellana2842 my daughter is also doing 6 years. It is her hope to get her RN while in the service, and then take the college money and get her Physician's Assistant with that.
I’m in the Guard. I’m thinking about going to school to get LPN license. If I get it, can I reclass if I wanna go active? Do I have to retake the asvab?
Hi
Im in Washington im a firefighter in Washington state
Are you still in this base?
What do you mean by 6 12's and an 8? So what is the schedule like during the week? Days off?
E.L. Edwards so for me on my floor I work 12 hour shifts. By 6 twelves I mean that I will work 6 twelve hour shifts , and an 8 hour shift in a two week period. So in total I work 7 days and have 7 off.
@@martaorellana2842 wow thank you so much! Is your schedule made out for you and you usually work days? I just enlisted and it's just been difficult to find extra info about the MOS. You're much appreciated.
E.L. Edwards no problem! Yes and no. On our floor we submit our preference for the year and choose if we would like to be days or nights.. being active duty though, they put us where they need us. Right now I’m working nights since October.. we get the option to submit our schedule online but it’s not always approved or other army things come up. Most soldiers don’t put in a schedule and just work whatever days they schedule us.. which isn’t always bad. I have 5 days off in a row coming up for New Years week.
@@martaorellana2842 wow that is F'in sweet...there is no OT in the service.
I start school in April but quick question do they still pay you BAH and BAS while you in school?
Zayquan Gillings I received it because I’m married. I only received it during phase 2.
Ok thank you Cause I’m married I was wondering about that
This may sound dumb lol but are you able to work as a nurse as a civilian when you have days off? I'm curious because it doesn't seem like your getting much hours.. Also do you get paid more when you're deployed?
J Mean I work 80+ hours per pay period. That’s a full time schedule. I believe you have to get command approval.
@@martaorellana2842 Thank you for your service🙏🏾❤ also thanks for replying! Please continue making videos they're super beneficial for me and many others.
Are you still in the army ?
Did you enrolled in macp? My husband and I are pcsing to Hawaii and I’m planning on enlisting there, I’m just worried on what are the chances that after I get all my training done I get back to Hawaii to his duty station?
ALMA GARCIA yes we did. I originally had orders to Hawaii but they were changed to WA. When my husband got orders here as well.
marta orellana awe thank you for the info hopefully it will workout for us!! 🙌🏻
Nice video. I subscribed to your channel and I am interested in your future videos.
Hey, what was your score? Do you pick the second station? Would you recommend a person who wants to be doctor to try this?
Jania S. Hi. To qualify for this MOS you must have at least a 101 ST score, and a 107 GT score on the asvab. And I do recommend this for anyone wanting a career in the medical field. Keep in mind the shortest contract time you can serve for this MOS is 6 years. But you will definitely learn patient care and gain experience especially if you’re assigned to a hospital after AIT. You don’t get to pick where you go for AIT and you don’t get to pick your first duty station. For the second part of AIT your entire class will be assigned orders to the specific location.
do you know any 68v respiratory specialist trying to find any videos related to it not any on here. Im in the reserves and im looking to reclass.
Kimberly Powe hi. I don’t actually know anyone with that mos. sorry 😐
Kay
I happened to read your comment here. I'm a 68V and currently in class.
iam 33 in 6 years iam gonna be to old to start anywhere else hhhh
Watching this as I’m studying to become a 68C 😅
you in AIT?
Do you know anyone with the MOS 68D?
Talesha La'shae no but I do remember phase 1 of AIT for them was really Intense and fast paced
marta orellana I'm getting scared now 😭
Don’t be! just study. It was only phase 1 that was intense like that. The reason is because they need to weed out the people that aren’t serious enough. At least that’s how I see it. We had plenty of people fail out during phase 1. Looking back, I think it was everyone who wasn’t taking the program serious.
Wait!what? Do they train u to become a LPN in the Army?
Jazz Black Valcin yes they do
marta orellana Yayyy! Thx! Do I have to be a citizen to be qualify for 68C?
I’m a green card holder.
@@jazzblackvalcin3097 people can enlist into the army to become a full US citizen. It may have changed but i know it is possible. Talk to a recruiter.
Was phase 1 or 2 harder academically?
Adam S phase 2 for sure. Only because that is when we started learning disease processes along with medications, nursing care plans &case studies.
marta orellana great I just graduated phase 1 thinking I’d get a break😂
Congrats! You’ll do fine just study and stay on top of it. Where are you going for phase 2?
marta orellana ft Gordon, it’s funny cause I got held over while the rest of the class went to Lewis like you
Have fun! This place was super strict so maybe you lucked out
How much do you make ? Is there a bonus cause of being a nurse ?
You work 6 12’s and 1 8? What the fuck... isn’t that too many hours?
I want to reclass to become a 68C . I always like the medical field , just wonder what subject are taught in AIT ? Just curious .
does civilian lpn can make more money than army lpn since army is Salary and based on rank and years in the military. Thank you
Shin A.F. Yes. Depending on where you work and your years of experience
Ive been a civilian LPN for 6 years and make $25/hr. I'm enlisting with the Army though. From what I've researched, the BHA makes up for the loss of wages for the base pay the Army pays. Its not much different in Salary for me though
Did you skip school and go straight to your duty station?
@@FlowinZen yes
@@thatdudenurse4023 can you email me at franklin.twan1@gmail.com I’m lvn trying to get in the army would I have to go to AIT school or will they just sent me straight to my station and can get my bsn while active duty
I am in the process of enlisting and I am interested in the 68C also. I used to have my CNA license now but its expired overall had a 95 in the class. High school had a 3.16 GPA and in college I have a 3.65 GPA. my questions to you did you not do well in high school and did a lot better on both 68C phases? I think what scares me the most is not finishing and getting recycled. What is your advise? How many times did you have to go to MEPS in order to get 68C?
Moises Zumaya sorry for the late reply. I went to meps 1 time because the job was already available. As long as you apply yourself and study the material you will do fine. People fail out because they don’t study.
Thanks for the upload. You work 7 days a week?
Iyabode Ogunkuade no. I work 7 days out of a 2 week period. So technically I only work 14 days out of the month.
@@martaorellana2842 thanks for replying. Could you drop your email. I ship next month and have a few questions. I know you did a Q &A session but I somehow missed that. Thanks 😊
