Brian is undoubtedly one of the 5 strongest men who ever lived.
He’s literally top 3 or could be argued #1
@@maksstavreski9791 Agree. I was being conservative.
@@maksstavreski9791 I argue that Mark Henry is the strongest man to ever live. Look up his accomplishments.
Top 2 in my opinion, the only person I can see in front of him is Zydrunas.
@@sbdftw1702 Mark Henry has never competed at Worlds Strongest man, so he deserves no spots on the podium
That's already 440lbs of dips 💀💀💀
Less the weight of his arms
Literally
I lifted 150 kg for biceps can you!?
@@captainbiceps-cr4ks i don't care
@@captainbiceps-cr4ks no u didn't
It’s funny how a whole bunch of strongmen look in better shape than Eddie at the minute and he’s training for bodybuilding
To be fair Strongmen has become a lot more about speed nowadays so the guys are getting a bit more lean as compared to previously.
@@siddharthbirdi yeah it's a lot more speed now.
@@siddharthbirdi yeah not a fan of that, wish it would stay more focused on strength
Pretty sure he is bulking then cutting later on in the year.
I weigh 330 and do sets of eight on dips. Even at my significantly lighter weight I can say it still takes a toll on your elbows as a big guy. It’s Incredibly impressive he is able to do that without elbow wraps.
i was 250ish at 14 doing dips was alright id do 5-6 reps only stopped when my elbows started to hurt but im 235lbs now and im doing dips easier.
@@boo6152 atta boy you sound like a monster good work man
Another 330 pounder here and i can barely do sets of 3 and it sucks lol brian has been on the swoll patrol talk about motivation to a anybody
@@srt106476 agreed man. The assisted dip machine really helps if you have access to one as well
I'm in that same weight range and had to stop doing dips regularly because I got tennis elbow last year. Figured I'd do sla different exercise after that.
I think what a lot of people don't realize with strongman competitions, is that you not only need to be strong but incredible athletic. The different events they compete in over the course of the days is insanely brutal and requires of fitness and flexibility.
That's pretty impressive for a big guy. Shaw is a beast.
Brian is not 440 pounds anymore. He's around 405. He lost weight to be more athletic.
@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdate Mateusz has been out of competition until this year, I believe. He still hasn't made an official comeback due to injuries.
@@Oorlich95 Mateusz is back now. He placed second at the Arnold and is scheduled to compete at WSM as well.
I lifted 150 kg for biceps can you!?
@@captainbiceps-cr4ks Does this comment have any relevance to the video?
@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdate No it's because WSM has had lighter implements these last couple of years. But this year not only are they good events for Brian, but they're going heavy with the said events as well.
He doesn't weigh 440lbs anymore, he's closer to 410 right now
Yeah exactly
Wish i knew this earlier... doing tricep dips at 410lbs is easy compared to 440lbs. Thanks for disecting the correct weight of a 400+ lb man. 🤣🤣🤣 sad
Ohhh cause 410 is a massive difference 🤣🤣🤣 can dip that much let alone 360?? What I thought.
@@samuelscretching6925 I wasn't trying to hate I was just correcting him
light weight
He also did 6 pullups. Crazy strength.
I thought for a second he added an additional 440lbs to his dips 🤣🤣
Mathew Zlat be like 😂
1000lb dips op
That would be 400kg dips
@@Wishmaster787 that's exactly what I was thinking 🤣🤣
Very impressive and very humble guy
Brian is my favorite strongman too! Besides, we both share the same first name! 💪
Brian shaw is a unit of strength
Legend and great guy
Kingpin!!
I’d barely be able to hold myself in a dip position with 110kg extra load. Dipping that is insane
I mean he's got big arms. Replace his arms with yours and see him not dip.
Brian is a unit and wants to get into arm wrestling!
After this year he said he fully commits to arm wrestling😊
Wild
dude is gigantic
He is amazing
I’d love to see Shaw, Thor, and “the big show” standing side by side.
I saw him walking down the street once in estes park colorado(he doesnt live there) he was like four people in one
Stay healthy❗️
Dear goodness that physique at 0:47 😳 Dude could cosplay Astaroth from Soul Calibur
LMAO
Impressive with those Long arms
Dips are the base for increasing barbel and dumbel lifts
I'm surprised the dip bar didn't break
Thats around 400 lb dips. Its doable for a guy who can bench 500 lbs 💪
Brian Shaw can also do sit ups and chin ups
The bench press training block was something he did for fun in the lock down. 240 for an easy double? What is Brian’s SBD potential?
That 240 double was not easy
But he could probably have done 440-265-430 with 6-12 months of PL training in his prime
@@stokiemanbrent4200 i do wish he and Eddie hall both did a powerlifting meet in their primes. I think brian would have been a threat to the ATWR at his best
I don't think Brian Shaw is too old at all to have a crack at a few powerlifting meets when he finishes Strongman comps. It would be interesting to see what numbers he could lift if he focused on those lifts for 12 months or so.
@@stokiemanbrent4200 More like 272 on bench. Deadlift would be hard to say since using a standard deadlift bar wasn't all that common until Eddie pulled 500 kg
@@mustang8206 Squat is the hardest one to call. He was a good squatter in strongman but using a multi-ply suit & not to depth
Some random guy could nickname Brian “The Bear” and nobody would argue
Well Gigantor is pretty fitting
Annunaki terror
I'm gonna need a ladder if I were to use that dip bar and Brian was just lifting his legs up just so he won't touch the ground.
Athletic too
Brian weighed in at 467lbs at WSM in 2017 that's 212 kg...which is just crazy 😳💯
No he didn't
@@stokiemanbrent4200 so what's 467 in kilos then?
@@everythingstrength1485 211.828
@@beansgowellwithpoo9774 uh...that's 467 lbs bruh 😂
@@everythingstrength1485 yeah he was a monster in 2017 finished at 3rd wich is amazing he claimed to reach 375-380 pounds when he began his 5500 calorie diet
His dip is more weight than most people’s bench max.
Chest also trains shoulders and triceps
Back trains biceps and forearms
So in theory you dont need to train arms directly
Lol, sure but go ahead and see for yourself. Your arms will lag behind if that's what you do, if bodybuilding isn't your main focus then it doesn't matter but...
Im pretty sure that he is just moving the earth up and down
if he couldn't do dips then he should go to the shamepit lol.. dips are one of the pressing excercises u are the strongest in weight wise.
Dips for the first time in his life how is it even possible
its bullshit, a quick search shows him doing dips on instagram, probably several others about too.
calling bs on that
Kyriakos has entered the chat. The bloatlord is undefeatable
No depth on those dips.
Stupid strong triceps, Jeeeeesus.
Dips and Pull ups are the Temple
He's got arms like most people's legs. I mean, his arms still look big when he's stood next to other strongmen, who's arms are already bigger than most!
He collaborated with Jay Cutler recently. He made Jay look like a buff midget.
More amazing is that he can do 6 pull-ups...
Im 100kg and i do 100 reps of dips in a session 🌞
I don't see how that's a great feat. He's obviously strong enough to do dips. There's guys half his size doing dips with that weight.
I can finally beat Brian Shaw at something.
For WSM 2022 I believe he was 385 or so, so out of comp he's probably closer to 400 than 440
Nah 410-420 now
No,he has never weighed under 400 since he started strongman and was 440 for a few years.
@@scarred10 I know he was 440-450 for most of his career but I had heard he slimmed down a lot compared to usual and was a lot faster
I wish he’d try arm wrestling at a pro level. His mass alone would carry him far
Brian should try armwrestling
Is that a bear in peoples clothes
He should learn arm wrestling - well should, I'd like to see ;-) . After just a few years he'd be a threat to everyone.
I watched an episode of him and his wife getting their muscles measured inside a CAT scene looking machine and Brians results are amazing
Hes literally the real hulk
I am certain Julius could do dips very very easily and at a heavier BW than Brian. Still, Brian is impressive always.
What do you base that on?
@@jaleelz7435 I have seen Julius shoulder press huge weights, bench press nearly 360kgs and shock Eddie Hall when training triceps with him (at the huge weights he moves with ease). He also benches with a relatively narrow grip. So it is a pretty easy guess that his dips would be very very good. In both cases Brian and Julius dipping is super impressive.
I would also say that they are plenty of videos online of people dipping with combined weight of 200kgs+ (body plus additonal).
If you think that’s crazy Eddie hall did 10 pull-ups with Ross edgely at his peak strength before he started cutting
those are partial dips but obviously he weighs a lot
wow real dips, he has the 5th title in his bag for sure now
Hitting a double at 520 isn't that impressive for a guy weighing 440 is it? I weight 230 and I can hit a double, maybe a triple at 315.
Shouldn't it be more like 'Brian Shaw disrespects gravity'?
Julius Maddox has done dips with chains and he weighs more I think
Julius was 205-210 kg
Brian should attempt BB not Eddie, Brian has way better structure imo.
His wife looks photoshopped in. The size difference is surreal.
I think it is, he's 6'8 and she's 6'0 and that photo is not an 8 inch difference
Levan Saginashvili weighs 188 KG measuring 193cm, in height to body weight ratio he is more impressive than Brian Shaw and he does dips very fluently
Levan is way stronger tho, its not a fair comparison.
@@deltalima6703 wtf brain shaw is overall stronger than levan.
@@abhinavkumar547
Not now
@@intermaths1128 bruh... brian shaw is a strongman, levan is an armwrestler, and you think levan is stronger? 🤦
of course levan could beat him in an armwrestle, but brian can beat him in nearly every other aspect of strength
@@deltalima6703 You're so clueless
Body weight dips …regardless your weight would be the same as someone 150lbs doing body weight
honestly would be disappointing if he couldn't
If Brian Shaw broke parallel then epstein did kill himself
first
Reduce your bodyweight my friend. There are no old giants.
👎
Bro what is this accent i can hardly understand you 😂😂😂😂 Good Content though
Who is worse the narrator or the giant who can't even do a full rep. Dumbing down already happened...

why do all the popular lifting chanel is an idian guy who barely speaks english ?
bruh wdym disrespected? my bw is 370lbs and i can put extra 110lbs and i did 15 reps
show some proof
I'd like to see a video of the set, bro
@@fihja9399 why would i post video of dips on yt lol its nothing impressive..give me instagram or something i can send you there..and you would still not know if i really weight 370lbs and have extra 110lbs of weight
