Guess it shows just how awesome Steve Perry was. Not slating Arnel, but his voice is suffering, badly. Shows how relentlessly hard it is to sing with Journey.

Was Arnel sick during this show? He didn't sound this bad during the F1 event a few months ago in Vegas.
At the risk of getting reamed out for knowing my own ears F1 was playback 100% listen to the Revelation bonus CD with re-recordings, it's that exact vocal track.

Journey will never be Journey again without Steve Perry. This cat is close but you can hear how hard he is straining and that won't last long.
Put Steve back out front and do a stadium tour and I be you anything I got it will sell out at every one.

@johnadrians2494 but then again Steve hasn’t been belting out these songs and touring constantly for the past 17 years is he? His voice hasn’t been overused and strained throughout the past decade and a half. So comparison is misleading and misplaced.
I guess contracts has to honored and you really must need to be dying in order to get out of it huh? The effing show must go on before the health of one person. @Arnel Pineda you must be good to yourself first coz no one else will. Your throat and vocal chords are your instrument, it’s irreplaceable when it’s broken down, unlike a guitar, a piano or a drum that’s easily replaceable when they’re broken, whilst you are literally using your physical body as your instrument. Money always takes precedence first over everything else to others, but not you.
Don’t sign anymore contracts so you could get out easily whenever you want or need to. And learn to say NO, both to yourself and others, don’t over do or over use your instrument. Hold some of your voice back for yourself for your life after Journey, don’t burn it all out.
Arnel should just wear jeans and black T shirts if he’s lazy about it. This outfits look like a Hong Kong pop show outfits for kids. I’m disappointed he steers away from Rock N Roll images as he got complacent about his place in rock music.
@calvintrainer1212 he’s recently been being styled by his previous personal assistant-now tour manager Yul Session, bring your concerns to him about his styling Arnel, I certainly will, I too preferred Arnel’s style before all this new styling happened.
