I love this hero. It didn't take too long to figure out how best to play them and unlock a crazy amount of carry potential. I've gotten more MVPs with them than any other hero. Good Cloak & Dagger players can be an absolute menace. I only wish that the devs would change their ultimate to give the player freedom of movement for the duration. Being locked into three slow and honestly clumsy dashes limits its potential significantly and is especially prone to getting stuck on random bits of level geometry.
No the worst thing about their ultimate is that you can die before starting it at all and will cancel your ult entirely. I've tried saving myself and teammates and would get dome'd and instantly lose my ultimate
Dagger can also heal herself with her primary fire. It creates a small zone around the target that heals everyone within the circle. It can heal if you hit an ally or enemy. You just need to be standing reasonably close to the person you're hitting
Yes, correct -- what I meant is that her right-click/ultimate are the only way to RELIABLY heal yourself since you won't always be able to heal yourself with left-click. I'll be more clear in future guides, thank you for the correction!
I really hope you blow up the quality of your guides is really high. Your voice isn't annoying to listen to, your script is eloquent and concise without being reductive, and you know what you're talking about.
3:56 Through some testing with a friend, we found what can and cannot be shrouded was rather wild, leaving us to question the intentionality of this mechanic. For example, Widow scoping or a Vanguard shielding will not be shrouded. However, if Punisher is in turret and holding fire before shrouded, he can shoot from the turret while invisible and phased. Venom can also be shrouded if they are in their ult and even trigger their bite without breaking shroud’s effects. For the most part, with a few exceptions, doing anything will typically prevent or end Dark Teleportation.
Hey MRG, you should add a note that Dagger's bubble and their ult are not the only way to heal themselves. Dagger also benefits from the AOE on her primary if she's near the ally she's healing.
I should have made it more clear that your right-click is your only RELIABLE + non-context-dependent way to heal yourself. Thank you for the correction!
Guide isnt giving full information. One of the crucial things of a dagger is her AOE heal, what works passive for your shots. Around 3-4 metres in radius, hitting allies OR enemies create circle, what heals every teammate AND you for about 26 hp. So rmb not only way to heal and also you dont need to hit only one teammate to heal him. When you are changing from dagger to cloak, your daggers became instantly reloaded and press shift two time actually a little bit faster than reload. When you are in ult, you are immune to al status effects and go throw enemys, so you can "pierce" tanks and cc compositions by your ult
I am maining cloak and dagger and after watching this guide, i understood that the thing i had to change was the way i use cloak's right click. I knew what it does but just didnt know the timing. Thanks
Love your guide. One correction at 2:15, her light bubble is not the only way to heal herself (outside her ultimate). If she is close to an enemy or ally and does left click the shot does an AOE heal to nearby allies including herself.
I love playing Cloak and Dagger. Since I have found that people normally don’t play support I end up feeling really useful. So far they are my favorite support characters.
Thank you very much for the video, I have learned 3 important things about my main. I do have one small comment though. If you have a good second healer (like Jeff or Rocket) you can stay in cloak form longer and do a lot of damage, for example when you recapture the point.
One of the coolest characters in the game. Reminds me of Zelda/Sheik in Smash Bros. Great guide! (I didn't realize they can bounce track, u always got such great minute details in these)
This guide helped me understand the intircacies of the character. I am mostly a "trial by fire" kind of player and this really helped a lot. if you could do a Psylocke or Hela guide I would love it!
I've never played a game like this before that my laptop could actually handle, but after seeing a few streams of the game and noting that it was free to play and runnable on my PC, I started playing yesterday. I really enjoyed the duality of Cloak & Dagger, but I struggle with KDA and healing numbers, feeling like I'm never doing enough, even in victories. This guide was extremely helpful, and I hope to synergize their abilities to impvve my main gameplay.
Best tip IMO is: Keep at least one mean of evasion, like Cloak's shroud thing or the ult, because the character is fragile, and its lack of fast movement makes the way back to the battle quite painful for the team. Better to be a chicken for a few seconds than absent for a minute.
Just another tip: Just like with other characters that can "vanish," be careful of using Cloak's Dark Teleportation for a last second grab of a point or payload. It will not count, and you will lose possession.
One thing, you can heal yourself outside of the bubble and ult, her basic attack heals allies but in an aoe radius once hit, so if you’re on top of your ally you’ll also get healed by you healing them
Here's a tip not many people catch. While Dagger makes audible footsteps, Cloak does not as he has no legs. Can be quite useful when trying to avoid would be assassins when returning to point and generally help to mask where you are.
I really like to make sure whenever there are lulls in the match that I’m sitting on cloak. It’s super useful to have his e to cc divers or a strange portal and his shroud to handle any sudden ult rushes that may happen, without worrying about your reaction speed too much. It’s also worth noting that cloak and dagger is ridiculously good at assassinating certain squishies once their movement abilities are gone because you have your bubble sustain and consistent damage from cloak that can target a panther or Spider-Man more easily than your own aim would be able to. I personally like bullying iron mans
Fire guide. I was thinking of running Cloak and Dagger, but the tutorials online sucked. This one carried me completely, thank you so much! Also, Psylocke guide when?
I love playing as them, cause their stats may not fly off the screen, but they're one of the few characters of which you HAVE to deal with in order to win the match.
The healing bubble is not the only way to heal with cnd as dagger if you’re in the vicinity of a teammate you heal you get healing from the aoe along with anyone else nearby. You also heal if you’re close to an enemy you hit with a dagger. All and all when you’re by yourself and getting jumped or if you’re only trying to stay alive. Staying dagger has more value if you can’t get away as cloak. Idk why I never see anyone talk about this its saved my life so many times
Great guide!!! Thank you for the content dude! Just got gold 1 as a wolverine main, I’d love to see a wolverine guide even though he’s definitely underpowered!!!
At first i wasn't a fan of them but since a lot of people are playing fliers and it's kinda hard to heal people with jeff while they're flying so i needed another main healer in my strategist usage and i decided to pick up Cloak and dagger again
I’ve beaten many high damage characters with Dagger alone, like Iron fist and spider man. What worked for me is using the bubble and basically dodge the best you can, I’ve won 70% of my fights that way. I use cloak when there’s already a healer present or when I try killing another healer.
Unless I have my squad with me, I don’t rely on the other healer. More than half of the time they don’t focus on healing. Worst I’ve seen was a Jeff with 700 total heals.
In casual the shroud is a bit useless as a team ability, since noone ever stops fireing. I though the ability was bugged at first since i never could see others shrouded when i use it
A good guide a few things to ass might be when your low your can heal by dagger primary as long as your not hit after I think its 3 shots. cloak can heal himself with his but its longer and by duration. but beside that thanks for the vid I was surprised I could fly so high with cloak since I tried after a jeff ult and couldn't make it up.
Dagger might not do much damage but her long ranged aimbot ability is PERFECT for either picking off flyers or making them fly away for heals. Every time a Iron Man or Storm is just chilling in the sky It’s easy picks 💯
The shroud should not break on reload or shooting... at worst make it so you can't shoot while in it. otherwise it requires too much coordination + awareness from teams (making it have more value in organised teams only with voice)
All of these guides are great, but it would be nice if there is at least a brief mention of the corresponding buttons for each ability for the controller users as well. It seems like nobody is doing that.
Now dont quote me on this, but I THINK Daggers main also bounces off walls, not just homing, to heal or damage....I feel like I've gotten a few kills off of bouncing shit off walls to get a few kills...would love to see if that is actually a thing or if it just actually hard turns around a corner.
I think that they are the best Duo in the Game. And the damage isn't really that Bad. I just started playing and i am consistently top fragging in my lobbies
C&D players who stay on Cloak for most of the game are such a nuisance as they’re supposed to be the primary healer. I try to auto-lock them in for that reason. Their ultimate is amazing when paired with Mantis, nothing can take you down. I use Cloak’s right click quite often to escape dives or Iron Fist players that sneak to the back lines. You just need to be quick enough to switch from Dagger before you get KO’ed. Quickly becoming my main, as someone who hates playing DPS and has horrible aim 😂
It's a good character for dives. Mantis gets killed a lot by spiderman or ironfist. What I hate is no one protects the healers usually so we get killed rather easily and then team blames healer for not healing when they're dead. 😂
THIS is the kind of guide I've been looking for, thank you! So many of the other ones I've seen are not this comprehensive and helpful.
I love this hero. It didn't take too long to figure out how best to play them and unlock a crazy amount of carry potential. I've gotten more MVPs with them than any other hero. Good Cloak & Dagger players can be an absolute menace.

yeah and i don’t like having no freedom of when i do the dashes.
No the worst thing about their ultimate is that you can die before starting it at all and will cancel your ult entirely. I've tried saving myself and teammates and would get dome'd and instantly lose my ultimate
Frick all This random destuctables in the path have janked my ult too many times got stuck in the cart somehow once and it ruined it
@@TheRealCptObvious1that happens with almost every ult in the game though
@Churros_are_Overrated nah it's worse.

@@MarvelRivalsGuidescan we get a groot guide
Oh shit!
I legit gasped when you mentioned the part about being able to see the other's cooldown on the HUD. Never noticed that before! Thank you!
I really hope you blow up the quality of your guides is really high. Your voice isn't annoying to listen to, your script is eloquent and concise without being reductive, and you know what you're talking about.

Best cloak and dagger guide on UA-cam so far
love the edeting on these video's. All the examples are really great!

A note id like to add, as dagger if you're within 8 meters of an enemy and using her primary fire you'll gain heath for every dagger landed

HMMMMMM I see myself here quite a bit, love it!
Do you have plans on making a Luna Snow guide any time soon? Thank you!
Thx man I’ve been dropping 10k+ dmg and healing each game thx a lot
Great guide!!! Thank you for the content dude! Just got gold 1 as a wolverine main, I’d love to see a wolverine guide even though he’s definitely underpowered!!!
No idea she could bounce the daggers, thank you!
I have learned around 15 heroes so far and every single one is good in some form. MR simply cooks
2:16 dagger's main attack heals all alloes within a radius of where it hits. Dagger can be healed by her main attack.
I only play her because I like watching her back side but now I am confident to play her after understanding.
Also swapping to Cloak reloads Dagger’s ammo!
this is by far the most fun healer
At first i wasn't a fan of them but since a lot of people are playing fliers and it's kinda hard to heal people with jeff while they're flying so i needed another main healer in my strategist usage and i decided to pick up Cloak and dagger again

been waiting for this for soooo long ahahhaha,i hope you get to make a black widow or magik guide soon
Awesome guides! Please do the Ultimate Captain America Guide next.
Dude I Yt search this and this amazing video just came out!😮
I love Dagger/Cloak and Luna Snow. The other strategist supports don’t vibe with me.
In casual the shroud is a bit useless as a team ability, since noone ever stops fireing. I though the ability was bugged at first since i never could see others shrouded when i use it
You have to have really good timing to work in solo queue. I saved teams from big ultimates it’s just hard
Ok the tip about being able to see the other’s cooldowns is game changing for me.
Thank you so much I need this one because I plan on playing them in the future besides rocket😂😂😂
This game is so well designed it's actually insane
The more I play it the more depth I realize it has.
I love these characters! I already have close to 10 hours with them.
luna snow & peni parker plssss!!
Very versatile character
Great vid!
When you do Magik can you include a guide on when to use her dodge against certain ultimates? 🙏
These two are my most played support heroes. Their versatility and ability to just negate entire abilities/ults is hard to compete with!
Using Cloak to save my team from a Scarlet Witch or Jeff ultimate is very satisfying.
Dagger might not do much damage but her long ranged aimbot ability is PERFECT for either picking off flyers or making them fly away for heals. Every time a Iron Man or Storm is just chilling in the sky It’s easy picks 💯
One thing that you missed is that you heal yourself whenever you healer your allies with your left click
how did you get the computer to ult. in practice mode >>??
Thanks mr guides guy
My main. Love the kit.
You should make a Loki guide I wanna learn him
stuck Diamond 2 RN about to watch and see if this helps
The shroud should not break on reload or shooting... at worst make it so you can't shoot while in it. otherwise it requires too much coordination + awareness from teams (making it have more value in organised teams only with voice)
I have the most hours on Cloak & Dagger, they aren't the most powerful Strategist but very unique and really fun to play
They are pretty powerful actually they’re just not mantis or Luna
You can also heal yourself with the aoe effect from the primary fire
6:14 that one scene from sword art online
All of these guides are great, but it would be nice if there is at least a brief mention of the corresponding buttons for each ability for the controller users as well. It seems like nobody is doing that.
The lock on is op asf. Dagger has a sniper of a healer, and cloak has a shotgun that melts hp
Good on point heals
Can you please do a guide on how to optimize this game? Me and alot of people are having technical problems with this game.
Eyyyyy my main! Also first!
Can you make a Magneto guide ? You placed him as S tier, and I'm curious to see why.
Could you make a guide on Loki next ? I feel like there’s a lot to say
Could u please do a psyloke guide it would make me very happy if u could
Please do the Ultimate Captain America Guide next
thank you

It does bounce off walls
Can you pls do an adam warlock guide i recently started playing and i really like his kit
Can you make a punisher guide?
2:20 not entirely true. Dagger’s left click can heal her if she is close enough to a healing target.
Went on a 21 kill streak first game I used cloak and dagger had no idea what I was doing lol
BTW. Cloaks damage per second is more than scarlet witch. Idk how but it is what it is.
Hi, please can you make a star lord guide?
Your light force daggers heal you if you hit enemies when they are close to you. So the bubble isn’t the only way to self heal.
when u dropping a spiderman guide?
I want a Black Widow guide please !
You said the bubble is the only self heal, if you heal team mates with your left click you get healed yourself too, idk how but you do 👍🏾
one thing i havent seen anyone talk about is that when you switch to cloack dagger realoads her primary fire imediatly
@Marvel Rivals Guides
please do Luna Snow next
you should do a Thor guide with Flats
I think that they are the best Duo in the Game. And the damage isn't really that Bad. I just started playing and i am consistently top fragging in my lobbies
They’re not the best but they are pretty damn good
u can heal urself by attacking enemy or ally and being close, sooo u dont need ur bubble for self-heal
almost never use cloak, once u use him, ur team dies
but always use cloak after ulting
@Ken-lk1cg you should be using cloak more than you think.
C&D players who stay on Cloak for most of the game are such a nuisance as they’re supposed to be the primary healer. I try to auto-lock them in for that reason.

Magik guide!
03:25 if u say this in overwatch, the "support not healer" army will come after u 😂
Dam this guy has such a charming voice
I HAD NO IDEA THE ULTS STACK
Anyone know a Loki main that I can watch to get better while I wait for guides to make a Loki vid
