I sell everything i can get my hands on lol im 51 been reselling since i was 8 , i would go to Gibson's dep store as a kid buy a bag of a 100 suckers for a 1.00 sell them at school for a $1.00 each lol
Elegant vintage is what I'm wanting to start selling. China, candlesticks, vases, silver plated flatware, old hardcovers etc. It is what I personally am attracted to. :)

Thank you for putting yourself together for the video, so many resellers look like they just got out of bed or need to wash their hair. As a buyer if someone isn’t taking care of themselves I assume they aren’t taking care of the clothing or goods

Smart business venture. I've found some really good quality items at a thrift store and they're often sold at a really cheap price. Craigslist is also a way to get free items, which you could repurpose and then sell. I've subbed and will stick around for other videos! 😊

The thing I have found to be the most challenging with reselling (12 months in October!) is having storage space & organizing the inventory. I wish I could post a photo here - I’d show you my “living room”. It’s literally just stacks of bins & boxes & bubble wrap. Can’t even sit on the couch anymore.

Another place to get free boxes is liquor stores! Also, at my BJs they have large carts with random cardboard boxes in all shapes and sizes

I’ve been considering reselling. Thanks for the tips! As far as smelly items I learned this hack long ago, spritzing vodka on items. I’ve used it on coat liners, suitcases, baskets and fur. It dries odorless and hasn’t stained or damaged any of my items.

Great video! I been trying to sell both designer and contemporary handbags via depop and Poshmark. Do you recommend those platforms for handbags? I been having difficulties moving things off the self. Wonder if it’s a price thing.

To another reseller, said to put packing material inside of your jar or cup, because a lot of the breakage happens when there’s no packing material inside of the item .

Reselling has been something I've kept my eye on for the past 3 years, im going to take your advice and just go for it. I have an etsy business and I love doing that too but I've been wanting to resell for the past 3 years ♡ this video has definitely helped me. I been struggling what kind of styles to pick and I think I'll go with farmhouse but could I do rustic too?

You don’t need any of those things. You are a sole proprietor and still need to pay taxes on everything. If you have more questions about that specifically I would see a CPA :)
Another Great video girl! I agree with you about starting to resell, and just listing a handful of items at a time, and try to not get overwhelmed! I do have a couple of questions! How does someone make time to list
/ take great photos when you work full time ? I’m slacking lately with photos and my inventory is crazy but I’m just so exhausted when I get home at night lately. Also, my thrift stores lately have been soo hit or miss with getting things that are good, but we have a retail store called Gabes locally , I’ve been sourcing clothes from that for the fall , but I’m think that was a bad move because my posh shop isn’t moving clothing lately or shoes, and I’m getting close to the return window of time, to at least make my money back. Do you source from retail stores/ discount stores ever and what are your thoughts on that ?
Thank you :) it can be hard to make time, but sometimes you have to get up and do some photos before work or on the weekends! I’m shopping for fall now too. I do occasionally source retail if the price is right!

Yes! 20% and eBay charges 13% (3% paypal 10% eBay)

I know this video is from last year, but I wanted to point out that if you use fragile stickers that aren't paid for from USPS (or whatever carrier you use), they are null and void. The postal workers do not recognize non-paid fragile stickers. Sometimes, they will even send the package back and say that you need to pay for the sticker or remove it. *It's happened to me and I've spoken to my local postmaster about it.

I started selling years before my channel! I think it helps a little bit honestly not too much. It does help with home goods!

Hi Delaney, does the cost of shipping get factored into the price of the item on poshmark? Or does the customer pay for it?
The customer pays a flat fee of $6 something I think!
I’m concerned about storing and organizing merchandise while waiting for it to sell. Do you have tips for that?
