My name is Maiah. I'm from a small city in New Brunswick Canada. Our summer (aka growing season is short at only 100-110 days long.) In this video, I'd like to show you around my little garden in the fall. MY! Is is really the Autumn of 2020 already?!? It's the end of the growing season... Also, remember the miniature roses we divided in the spring? We are planting them outdoors in the garden now. Please join me for a few minutes and enjoy this video.
Last year, I planted some miniature roses in the garden, just out of the desire not to waste the beautiful plants, I planted them outdoors after enjoying them indoors for some time. The flowers and leaves have wilted, I expected nothing more of them, but its sad to let them go. I thought, what do I have to loose if I plant them outdoors? That was way into autumn... And tada! This summer, the roses flourished and bloomed! Please stay with me and I'll show you how I plant my roses outdoors.

hi maiah, i was carried away for a while while watching your video. you show great love in everything what you do, especially with the plants and birds and the slugs too !!! living in canada can be freezing but your spirits are high, and your philosophy is inspiring....so peaceful in yourself which is what i percieve in yourself. when the heart gets hard and cold , you nurish it with love and god's words !!!!!!!! so true. i always say to anybody ''do it with love''. i do a bit of indoor gardening with love to those plants, i feed the birds with love and four tank of fish too !!! i can see my reflection in you, which calms my mind and uplift the spirit. may god bless you eternally !!!

Yes we can. Don't forget to mulch over it and cover so as to protect it from the weight of the snow and keep it a little warmer.
Also, provided the Rose has established roots (while it was in a pot inside your home the last summer probably? Or in my case, I divided this in the spring.) Unetablished roses will have a hard time in the cold.

I like your video very much, I have a question for you, I live in Quebec where the temperature goes below below zero,
so should I cover it as I do for my other roses. This is the first time planting miniature

I live in NB so I’m not very far from you. I meant to cover the roses last fall but didn’t get the chance to do it. The good news is, the roses I planted in the fall (this video) are doing so well. There a a few branches that got broken because of the weight of the snow, but it did not affect the vigor of the rose. So I will cover it next time to protect the delicate branches from breakage, but there is no need to worry about the temperature.
In time, I will have a follow-up video on the roses. I hope you’d visit again to check that out. 😍

Hi, do your miniature roses can survive through the winter?
Do they require full or filtered sun? I have a grocery store mini rose from mother's day.. 3 yrs ago. Still in the same pot! It was dying indoors so i just set it outside in my carport with filtered sun. I do water and fertilize it. But, I honestly expected it to die .., obviously its a little fighter! Haha So, I want to put it in my garden. Poor thing deserves it.. shes kinda scraggly. But, I dont know very much about roses in general.

Yes, roses are very hardy. They can be overwintered in a container, just like you did, in a cool garage. They would look unhealthy during overwintering but give it a good prune and it may perk up again. I
But roses do better outdoors, in ground, in full sun.
I live in zone 4, very cold winters. I planted these roses in autumn and they are now sprouting even after a long cold winter.
