@@crispyfries0 Well, I've got a lot of practice. :0 I've started well over 50 farms (not sure how many as I've deleted some) and have over 2000 hours into the game. My usual goal is to complete community center in 1 year and then I let it rest for a few weeks to a few months and then start another farm. My 100% farm (as well as about 4 others) I've played into year 5.
To players who like Shane, if you use smapi, can download a mod at nexus that fixes his room. Or if you dont use it you still can place decorations and stuff to fix it, like plants and paths.
Yeah I think that was a mistake. It should be easy enough to test, just fire up a fresh save file, sleep until Friday, then track the forage positions on Friday-Saturday-Sunday. … So I did that, and the wiki is right. I'm uncertain how disappointed I should be that Lilyy didn't verify her research. This was pretty easy to test so...
Pickle! But, I usually just put grass under my fences since I don't mind rebuilding them and like the look of the hardwood fence a lot better than a row of seed machines or something... Also, as many others have already stated, forage resets on Sunday... Also, don't forget crab mating season on the 12th of summer for a bunch of beach forage....
Pickle! .... Well, you asked! :D The shoes from the train is the only reason to rush to the train, after that it's really not worth it. Knew of using a sprinkler in a slime farm but haven't bothered with slime hutches for a long while now! Great video as always! :D
These days we use the railroad as a pine tree farm, so we have something useful to do while checking for train loot. (None of it is all that big, but hey, free is free.)
@emurphy42 That's all I use the railroad for. Completely fill it with trees and chop them down once a year ideally while Robin's resource rush for wood is active. Have never run out of wood. I ignore trains. It isn't worth wasting several hours to get a little bit of ore or more likely nothing.
If you put a path on the outside of the fence, you can use the actual fence as grass preservation. Putting the path on the outside isn't strictly necessary, but makes the chance of accidentally mowing beneath your fence a lot smaller. A fence, especially if it isn't one between 2 animal areas, doesn't produce as much grass as a freestanding object, but because it is all round, it still adds up. Easy to combine with the alternative fencing objects, although it can't be combined with tea saplings.
I should have read the comments before going to test it. I knew it was Sunday but I wanted to be sure, I don't think that's even the first time I retest it after someone says it's on another day.
I doesn't realise this was a mystery for some people that you can add Rabbit to the basic coop. For me it was logical that you unlock thode for thr whole farm and not just one building
RE:1: Summer 3? I usually have the Mines Stardrop by then. I usually prioritize the mines, because you get all of the ore you need to get tools upgraded, unlock the super-important Minecart from the CC bundles, and so much more. Not prioritizing the mine first is a huge mistake IMO. Part 2: You casually demonstrate another, perhaps MORE important fighting tip without mentioning it: you can hit enemies if you are _partially_ hidden behind a rock, but they can't hit you and they waste several seconds pathing directly into the rock, and slightly sidestepping to the side until they finally get around the rock. You can use this time to kill the enemy before it can touch you. With slimes, when they go to jump, just step back behind the rock and they will never hit you. This obviously will not help with serpents and bats, but it's nice to have handy for most other stuff. #3: You can also use terrain as a fence. The Hilltop Farm is great for this, there's a section directly south of your house that is perfect for 1 deluxe coop and 1 deluxe barn. Most of it is blocked off by either river or hill, just need a couple gates and you're good to go. RE: Coffee: Beer is also well-liked so if you don't have coffee yet and you don't mind getting some beer, you can do that instead. It's liked by most people who aren't kids or Penny. RE: Have Fun: I feel this is not said often enough. I'll suggest things that are not maximum efficiency, but still effective nonetheless and I'll usually get some idiot piping up "BUT BUT THERE'S A BETTER WAY" and they'll talk about some super nerdy try-hard crap and I'm like "Uh, I play this game to chill out and have fun, thanks"

I don't care about the cheating, I don't want to leave my island farm fallow just to leave more dirt tiles for Artifact Spots on the chance that I'll get a couple wriggling worms to complete a single quest to get an Ostritch Egg Incubator. It's... maddening, so I cheat without remorse on that one. Also, Shane is totally fixable, what are you talking about?
