You know people in general do not look as good as they use too. If they had this show today everyone would be dancing down the soul train line with beer bellies and women with huge rear ends in tight pants.
This is the America the Towers were built in; endless potential and optimism in all, all around you. Not just one soaring, gleaming structure to reach into the sky, but two. Twice the energy, twice the vision: the power of two souls for one purpose. They danced across the face of our nation for thirty glorious years, and of a sudden our happiness and identity was stripped away, one terribly clear morning in September.
Such a blue sky, so clear and perfect, I noticed at 8:30 how lovely that day was, while waiting in the parking lot in the Boogie Down, ready to go to work at Bronx Psychiatric Center. Then the NPR reporter on the radio said what they were seeing at 8:47 or thereabouts, and he said what happenedI. I imagined it was like a small Cessna prop plane like the ones that had hit the Empire State Building decades before. Then the world collapsed, and by noon our hospital took in hundreds of patients from Harlem, the Bronx and Westchester County, so that those psychiatric units could take in wounded. But there were no wounded. So the next day all of our emergency psych patients began to be returned to their hospitals, there was no need for space to treat the wounded.
I remember sewing some of these dresses. I probably still have the patterns somewhere. Cheesecloth, seersucker, chiffon, memories. Now I'm just sewing face masks while binge-watching these clips.

People don't have fun like this anymore because our culture has been under attack by Communists for at least 20 if not 30 or more years. Communists have been undermining our culture from within and debasing it so that people have little in common anymore and what little they do have in common is vulgar and tasteless.
