Thanks for the review! Does the band show strokes when swimming or how difficult is it to see them? I can't spot them when you are holding the band into the cam. Since I am mostly swimming fastened with a climbing belt in a small pool I'm counting only strokes.

I find sleep tracking to be fairly accurate, even comparing to a $200 Fitbit, also had none of your other problems

Hi Supperman it was pretty much the same the whole time. I went back to my old galaxy watch as it was more reliable.

Nice review. Concerning the swim mode, I'm regularly stuck in swim mode. I can't stop the training. The screen remains locked until I find a random way to unlock it without knowing how I did it. Can you give me some advice to stop the training in swim mode when I need to?

I have the Mi Band 4, the tracking might be a bit accurate. The problem is that it's challenging to use the touch screen when your finger and watch face is wet. Can't start and stop a work-out when wet. How's it for Mi band 6?

I k1lled my Mi Band 5 for swimming in the sea. It started vibrating then went off. Now I've got the 6 and I think I will never take it to swim in salt water 😅

I use mi band 5. While doing outdoor cycling, only the workout time is getting calculated in the mi fit app.. why total time is not calculated? Can anyone pls help..

Hello, when you cycling did the watch show gps on the band screen? How did you do that? And what app do you use? I saw on 1:12*
On watch it doesn't show the mini map until you have finished. It shows all the stats like distance and pace and speed but the mini map only afterwards. This is the generic Xiaomi software. Thanks for watching ✌️

Hey mate, na water breaks the connection with Bluetooth instantly. But it tracks pretty well on its own. No questions a stupid question 🙏

Nice review! One thing I'm curious about though, that you might be able to help me out with. Do you need to pair it with your phone or could you use it on its own? I would obviously not get the GPS tracking when running, but I'm mainly interested in the swimming part.
When swimming indoors at a pool, maybe I want to keep my phone in the locker room instead of bringing it to the pool. How would that work with the band?
do you mean never pair it with your phone? if so i think it may be a problem as you cant see any info after the workk out. But if you mean while swimming it, yeah its fine because the water automatically cuts the bluetooth connection.

Yep certainly, but don't worry about disconnecting it as it will happen as soon as you hit the water.

I can give you the huawei band 6 pool results here if you want. By the way, you should come to Istanbul. Many professional and amateur swimmers around the world would like to join here.

Hey mate, great review! My mi band 6 doesnt recognize that I am swimming at all when I start the workout. I tried behavior tagging, but as soon as I am in water, even tho I am within 3m of my phone it disconnects the device. I cant even do behavior tagging. How did you manage the device to understand that you are actually swimming.
Hi mate, when you get in the pool go to workouts then scroll to swimming then press start. Try it now and you can see that you can also set you pool length.
@@SeedubsMedia I tried that 5 times already :( Idk whats wrong tbh. it doesent count meters at all, just shows 0. And on my phone I see the workout as light workout. And after an hour of swimming (2.5km more or less) when I end the workout it says little to no data collected, are you sure you want to end workout? At this point I am in the verge of returning the device for a refund.

Mine didn’t record swimming at all. It was a 27 meter pool and even after an hour in the pool, everything was still zero. I checked many times and restarted the activity on mi 6 band many times, but there was no data at all. I was disappointed and thought it might not work if we swim in indoor pools but thank for the video. Perhaps, it needed a reboot. Will try again next week.
P.S. I didn’t have my phone with me. Is that why it didn’t track the swimming activity?
Hi Ns, thanks for watching. It should track the swimming without the phone because water will instantly remove the Bluetooth connection. I take my phone to the pool. Leave it at least 25 metres from where I swim then do laps of a 50 meter pool so there is definitely no connection to my phone.

Correct it just says mixed instead of freestyle or breastroke from memory.

interesting, especially for swimming, got the mi band 5 for long time, for running, walking cycling never got any problem, but for the swimming it was not accurate.... on 1000m missed 200m. However.... i just lost it so just bought the miband 6 , gonna see :D

@@emir2750 he best tracker i had. I tried since this time the mi watch color 2: i love the big screen to check quickly how long you swim under the water (easier to see the text) but.... The xiaomi watch is sooooo bad especially for swimming.
but the big screen is really confortable so i use it for daily or gym, but for swim, i use my miband 6
i think also mi band 6 the heart tracking is more accurate, but the oxygen tracking is really wrong.... Its never worked well.

Hi mate it's hard to say. Do you press start and swim immediately. Maybe press start and wait for the countdown to finish before starting. But I'm sorry. Not 100% sure on this. I remember it happening on a watch before I just can't remember which one.

I don't what you mean. Sleep tracking works perfectly for me also the heart rate sensor works perfectly for me and never stops working I never had any problems. Maybe you got a problematic device or there have been many firmware updates. 😅

Hi mate the IP ratings stand in any water. . As long as you stick to the conditions the IP rating allows for. But salt water isn't good for anything except sealife

Mi Band 6 Heart Rate Sensor doesnt work good with you, because you have a tattoo right under the Sensor.
The Heart Rate Sensor does his messuring by lights. This light cant go through your tattoo.
But why did the Mi Band 4 and 5 worked better on you? This is, because Mi Band 4 and 5 had green lights. The new band 6 does it via red light. This is, because people where complaining about the bright green light in their bed room, when they go to sleep. They got distracted by it. So Mi changed the light to red. Red light has another wave length, then green light (waves are longer). These red light waves arent strong enough to get through your colored skin (your tattoo) in comparison to green light. Best light would be white or blue, but that would be even brighter than the green light.
Solution: Install the Mi Band 6 to your other hand, if there ist no tattoo under the sensor on that side. If there is a tattoo too, then get a tracker wich has white, blue or green light.

Hi Ryan for accuracy you can flip a coin. For display the 6 is the sweet spot.

I guess the problem is your tattoo. Black ink won't work well with the green light that register the heart rate. I have the same problem.
Interesting point, do you think its the ink or the colour of the ink.
@@SeedubsMedia the problem is the capacity of the skin to refract the light, so I think that any ink will be the problem. Probably some more advanced wearables can avoid these limitations.
