Something new and interesting. 'Happiness' was bloody depressing, 'Exile' was dark as f*ck, and I see 'Surrender' will be a lot more happier than 'Happiness' itself. Nice vibes!
They being dark sets them apart from others. I fell in love with Happiness as it was different.
I did not say anything about 'Happiness' being a bad album. It is my favourite album from Hurts, indeed.

Hakim Yo sure thing. A 'Happiness' 2.0 would be stunning! But I doubt it, since all we have listened to so far is a lot happier :)

feels very disco/groovy and soooo different from the previous singles, I really love how they're able to reinvent themselves
I like the reinventing thing but somehow I hope they come back to Exile era was very dark album... more synthpop

+ErlGaGa Yeah unfortunately some of their fans have a narrow mind. I get that not everybody will like this change of direction but its kind of arrogant to say they are selling out. You could just as well say they would be selling out by making dark-pop to please their fan base when they want to try something different. Plus their two previous albums were very different from each other as well so I'm sure their 4th will be different from this one. Not many people will like all their albums when they try different sounds for each one.

About 7 months ago, when I heard this song for the very first time I was confused, about whole Surrender album too. But right now I love every single song. And this song I can't get out of my head. I think, that when we get the new any artists album, we tend to think that it's strange. All you need is just to get used to it. I'll listen HURTS until my last breath. They always will be that No 1 group of my life and every single their album will remind me specifically about some period of my life. Isn't this fascinating?
