Great guest and interview. Ross gets it, with a measured outlook on both gold and silver. 'Gold under-owned'.. exactly right. And 27% increase in gold spot in just the last year isn't bad and particularly as gold is traditionally viewed as a safe haven asset and not as an investment vehicle per se. Record central bank buying of same speaks for itself. 'Can you tell us what you're doing with your money right now?' Nice. How many hosts actually ask this most fundamental question? Very few.
The reason why the Gold stocks haven't moved is because of the huge bubble in Tech/AI and the S&P. That bubble needs to POP before we see the gold mining stocks do what we expect them to.
Just like the oil sector, if Canada doesn't mine its minerals, other countries will pick up the slack. The mining sector pays good wages and employs many talented people. If we choose to keep minerals in the ground the jobs won't be there nor will the tax revenue. No rational Canadian wants this to happen but sadly mining in general is misunderstood by a significant percentage of the population or equate all mining as "bad" based on a few rotten apples, which do exist. Those involved in mining simply need to hold themselves to very high standards and move forward rather than backwards, otherwise Canada will be cooked.
We must fill out a W8BEN documentation for a country we do not have anything to do with. A country which stole our Russian ADR. So why on earth should anyone buy a US or Canadian stock or any ADR from Colombia to Zaire? Northamerica is too dangerous to invest. They steal not only dividends but the whole thing. Yes, I held some Equinox, but as an outsider I was not accepted on the "stay informed list". So I sold the stock after years of trying to get accepted by Ross' company, which I thought I owned a part of. Obviously I did not in Ross' eyes and now I do not anymore. Ross is a smart man and a great listen, but he wants internationals out and that is why the miners do not rise. It is a "northamericans only" game.
What people are failing to appreciate is the politics has answered finance. The goal is to keep the middle class from growing l, and a shrink the middle class. Notice the banks arent buying gold miners, they're buying gold. Gold miners will continue to bleed out as their AISC becomes mostly unsustainable.
Yea how is equinox share price doing over the last 5 years vs gold? Even the “best” can’t deliver shareholder returns and you wonder why gold stocks are worthless.
Ross can't know the future. Ross is the goat of commodities. He places his chips on the side of the table with the highest probability. I own a ton of lumina gold.
Mining is a cyclical sector. Now is a good entry point for precious metal mining producer stocks given the macro-economic environment we are in and high and rising gold and silver prices. Take a look at the cash the producing PM companies are pulling in. These are value stocks nothing like the big 7 overpriced tech stocks. Feel free to buy NVIDIA if you like but I'll stick with value companies like Equinox, MAG Silver, Fortuna Mining, etc.
@@Darrin-h9f it’s also a shit sector that loses money. These are the same talking points year after year. The problem is you start reducing your critical thinking once you listen in these echo chambers. Being a contrarian is not just about buying the worst shit out there. I have made fantastic returns in commodities in the past 5 years by not betting on lottery tickets. Your choice isn’t just between miners and nvidia with no middle ground.
❓ Have you invested in any of Ross Beaty's companies? Tell us in the comments!

Lumina over 6 billion NPV/2,750 gold at a 140 million market cap. Huge discount.
Disruption is the movement of change.😊

Asians have been buying gold 🪙 and partly why the price is increasing.
END THE FED. Gold is money. Powell for Prison!
Does his head explode if he says Russia?
