I love coming across people playing StarCraft 2 for the first time! Here's a tip, if you play F2, your entire army will be selected so you can command it more easily.
This was a lot of fun to watch. Please PLEASE don't check any speedrunning or completionist videos. Your first-time impressions of the missions is priceless content. I haven't had so much fun watching this campaign being played "just normally" in nearly 15 years!
Giant Grant Games is one of my favorite channels. It's always fun to see casters and pros play the campaigns. If you enjoy this, I highly recommend the "Nightmare" mod for this campaign as an extra challenge.
so most achievements are usually designed to be played on lower difficulty so they can actually be quite challenging on brutal mode. I tried to do all of them on brutal and there are a few i couldnt do so itd be super fun to watch you try that :) There are also achievements made for 10th sc2 anniversary so would be nice if you did them too. You can find them before you play the mission in game menu
honestly, recently thought of exactly this. Pro players might not ever have played the campaign, and so the timing is perfect. it would be interesting to see your reactions to cutscenes, too. good video, id love to see more!
Honestly, first time impression of the campaign and how a 'pro player' plays the campaign would be much fun to watch then achievement hunting. I would say playing the nightmare mod would be something even better but since its your 1st time I think it would be more chill for you to go through the normal brutal difficulty. Enjoyed your video! Thanks
29:58 Nice that HeroMarine enjoys it. I think its longest laugh I heard from him. == Its so funny, how he struggles in 2nd mission. And I wonder what will be his first like restarted mission and save-loads...
Put your playthroughs in episodes and then into a category for people who come in at a later point, so they know where to start. Also: I want them cutscene reactions!
You should really try the Moebius Campaign after finishing Default Terran Campaign, it's so much more challenging (adds a whole new level of difficulty) and adds so many more interesting things, also barely who managed to even attempt the hardest difficulty.
Tbh achievements make it more fun ... u can do F10 and press achievement to see the achievements , at start it might be weird for u but when u unlock the stim and other (things u use in multiplayer ) u would be more comfortable with that .GL
iirc, ~F12~ (edit: F9 apparently) opens the achievement menu, so you can look the achievements up mid-game. It's single-player, so it pauses the game, too. I always get mixed up with F11, but I think that's chat logs, so you can see prior transmissions? Also excited to see if you try any modded campaigns after this. LordDz's 3p co-op campaigns, MindHawk's Reversed edition, and Synergy's race-swapped campaigns are all available in arcade. CCM (Custom Campaign Manager) has many dozens of mods, most famously probably nightmare mode for a difficulty above Brutal and Real-Scale for lore-accurate unit sizes. I'm also a big fan of the Archipelago randomizer, which randomizes all unlocks across all missions, can randomize the order of missions, adds new units and upgrades from other gamemodes, and can interface with other games to scramble unlocks with other games in a multi-game playthrough.
I would love to see you go through the nightmare difficulty mod if by chance you find the brutal difficulty a bit too easy! It might be interesting because the standard blizzard brutal difficulty can be a bit stale sometimes where the enemy AI doesn't micro and produce a lot of units, etc. I'd watch through 10 hours of that easily
Do the achievements if you think they're fun. I do support looking them up before hand if you choose to do so since the game wont tell you shit. Interesting star, we'll see if any of the missions give you any trouble, probably not but they will go against your ingrained skills somewhat with weird untis and different stats and all sorts of things.
is better with achievements, you can se with F10, but in reality the missions do not have 3, they have 4 achievements because if you check in achievements you can see a list in 10th anniversary, there is an extra one for each mission, which in these 3 you already forgot
I don't get what the point of this is if you skip the cutscenes. You are a SC2 pro. Obviously the missions are going to be trivially easy for you. Watching you breeze through them isn't going to be interesting. What would be engaging is seeing your reaction to the story. But if you cut that out all that is left is a bunch of games of you vs the AI...
Gabe, activate the 3d portraits so characters have their lips moving when they talk.

I didn’t know that, thank you!
Idk if this comment is supposed to be sarcasm or not. But I chuckled.
I didn't know that either. I came from Brood War
just another step closer for Heromarine to play the nightmare mod
You can see the achievements in the F10 menu. There are also additional "Feats of Strength" achievements for some missions.
You can also click on the portrait of the achievement before every mission to bring the menu up.

Seeing you get the achievements would be great.
Hope this series picks off, was great fun watching it.
29:57 - That reaction is so good. Haha. I'm excited to watch you go through the campaign Gabe! This was fun.
Your micro is pretty good! You should try playing the multiplayer mode sometime, I think you have some real potential
He is a pro SC2 player. Micro is finger tips for him
@@Aaron-xv8mx woosh

The toochus gets me hahah. Hes called Tie-cuss Big Gabe
it's not tie-cuss. It's tie-cous
honestly, recently thought of exactly this. Pro players might not ever have played the campaign, and so the timing is perfect. it would be interesting to see your reactions to cutscenes, too. good video, id love to see more!
I still can't believe this is your first playthrough! The Wings of Liberty campaign is LEGENDARY
Enjoy 😊😊
actually really enjoyable watching you playing the campaign for the first time!
Turn up the music bro, the victory theme kicks ass
love to see you playing wol. I would like to see all the cinematics though
That’s so funny and cool seeing you doing it for the first time! I hope you will not abandon the series
definitely all the achievements!
I've waited for this moment for 14 years.

Great. I love your game. Looking forward to see your actions
Looking forward to more
I really enjoyed this! I hope you continue
hope so too
The Content we never know we needed😍
Pretty entertaining stuff my man. Cant wait for more

Its so funny, how he struggles in 2nd mission.
And I wonder what will be his first like restarted mission and save-loads...
Achievements would be wild, especially if you don't have experience with the campaign
Put your playthroughs in episodes and then into a category for people who come in at a later point, so they know where to start.

Hell, it's about time!
Love the Terran campaign! Have fun, Gabe
let's gooo! so fun content. let's make all achivment every mission
The achievement is for killing the bases on hard, not on brutal, thats why it seemed so difficult when you tried it
What a coincidence! This campaign has a lot of marine units and also hero units!
You should look around between missions. I like the stuff they put around and like the character conversations and stuff.
You should really try the Moebius Campaign after finishing Default Terran Campaign, it's so much more challenging (adds a whole new level of difficulty) and adds so many more interesting things, also barely who managed to even attempt the hardest difficulty.
yoo they got the stormgate dog in the first mission??? stormgate was heavily sc2 inspired confirmed
The best campaign in RTS history
With the 'Nova Covert Ops' dlc there are even more Terran Missions.
Tbh achievements make it more fun ... u can do F10 and press achievement to see the achievements , at start it might be weird for u but when u unlock the stim and other (things u use in multiplayer ) u would be more comfortable with that .GL
no way no wayyyyyyyy!

it's F9 actually
Unironically you should play the nightmare mod.
I wanna stick to how Blizzard intended the campagne to be played. Maybe if it grows on me I will do Nightmare Mode with optimized execution
I would love to see you go through the nightmare difficulty mod if by chance you find the brutal difficulty a bit too easy! tbh skipping the story and the cinematic breaks my heart
Remember later there is a Secret Mission...
I don't think HeroMarine is beating the "played two missions before hand" allegations
Its here boys! Thanks Big Gabe!
Gabe, if you wanna increase the difficulty i suggest playing it on nightmare difficulty ;)
Best German Terran vs Wings of Liberty
dont focus my medic... NAAIIN XDD
It's fun dude play all 3

Fun
Raiders Roll
You can press f9 i believe to view achievement list
Get them
No way Jose 😂
Hi, Gabe. Do you know about specters?
is better with achievements, you can se with F10, but in reality the missions do not have 3, they have 4 achievements because if you check in achievements you can see a list in 10th anniversary, there is an extra one for each mission, which in these 3 you already forgot
Fight fight fight!
Please, upgrade the grahic settings. That`s would be nice
I don't think it counts without all the achievements :) Also, I've never seen someone killing the zerg on this mission on hard. Can HeroMarine do it?
Didnt know big gabe is a Raynor x Kerrigan shipper XD
btw is this ultra graphics? why the portraits not animated...
Did you pass bronze rank yet? I can teach you. Oh wait your name sounds familiar.
Haha
Nightmare mode is harder than Brutal. You should play it after Brutal.
This lame commentaries from big gabe throughout the history is so funny "Your future wife Raynor" kkkkkk
Bait used to be believable...
He is not interested in lore. Imo, that makes him be less interesting for SC2 community than other pros who enjoy and know the lore.
For this kind of things is that you have not as many fans as other pros.
