Neat exploration you guys, cactuses were pretty cool :) enjoyed
Thanks J.
prickly pear cactus. I think they are fairly common wherever there is sandy soil. There is a lot of them growing on Assateague island
The flowers look neat coming out of a cactus.
They are considered rare for our area
I have a feeling there's more to this island. We didn't even peek at the northern portion of it. Who's on board for a part 2?
im game
I'm up for it again
new sub good stuff
Thank you!
No atomically mutated creatures? Maybe that island already is a prison. You just didn't know you were going to be on a penal colony full of genetically altered former nuke plant employees. During your entire ascent my thought was are they leaving breadcrumbs?! LOL! As a kid we had some of that cactus planted in our yard. My grandmother loved the flower. I'm thinking you guys slept very well that night! Thanks for taking us along!
Also would you happen to be a part of susquehanna water trail association? They are planning a day trip float 6.29 fort hunter to city island.
Love the channel and content .new sub
How was paddling against the current in this section?
In flat water conditions it’s great. In any kind of head winds and current it’s challenging and not for the uninitiated. Always check the water levels and wind speed when you kayak the Susquehanna River. I’ve learned that the hard way. Thanks for following along on this one!
It was wind and the chop that was annoying more so than the current.
