Great video! Just got home this evening from Munich with some family. We flew Lufthansa there and back. They’re a pretty good airline with good service. We were on an A340-6 coming home, I forgot what the aircraft was going there
You're very lucky my friend! I've been chasing Lufthansa's A340-600 for a long time. Right before Covid I was supposed to fly one. Then we all know what happened there. Then, when Covid was ending and I did my Europe trip last May, I was once again scheduled to fly the 346, only to have Lufthansa swap it for a 747-8. Now, I didn't really complain because who passes up a 747. But, my favorite aircraft type of all time is the A340-600, so I was still a bit bummed. This next part is confidential 🤫 because no one else knows about this, but I'm once again trying to catch the elusive aircraft later this year 😁.
So...this flight involves two of my fav airports in the world and one of my fav airlines in the world. Yeah, this is definitely worth a watch and some popcorn. ;)
Looking very nice....Thank you for sharing. Those Airbus 320s and 319s always have those strange sounds between the engines and releasing the breaks on the wheels. And then when you are on the ground and your hear one of those Airbus aircraft fly over, you hear those engines with their strange sounds.. I always laugh when I hear them come over me hear in Chicago.
Hey Traveler. I've been to Zurich myself. On my grand trip through Europe, we got stranded in Rome, with airport strikes so we took several trains from Rome all the way to Zurich to catch a flight home to the US. Back when we had Pan Am First Class Passes.
I love the high speed rail system in Europe. Honestly, it’s probably easier to use than flying. I fly though because I need to get footage for the channel haha.
@@gcharouhas that's correct. In this situation they have the whole runway to roll out and vacate almost at the end of the runway. So they don't land with full flaps what means a higher approach speed and a quicker rollout. So that the next plane on final approach can land quicker.
@@gcharouhas Some remarks from an aircraft mechanic. Selecting the flaps is also a question of the weight of the landing aircraft as well as the wind ( direction, speed ) and the lenght of the runway. Sometimes planes land at a slower speed due to a strong head wind and the automatic throttle response activates more speed to hold the air speed. Then 50 meters before touch down the wind changes it's direction and the crew selected a higher flap for expected wind shears.
Wow! Short flight. Excellent audio quality, too, as always. I love hearing the flight attendants announcements in both languages. Are you going to Greece and/or the Greek Islands anytime soon?
Well, my trip is long over now. Even footage I fast track is still at least a month delayed. I spent 9 days flying to and around Europe and I enjoyed it a lot. Every single fight was delayed and lines were horrible, but that’s everywhere now.
6:20 hab ich so auch noch nicht gehört. Die Flugbegleiterin fängt mit dem Sicherheitshinweis bei Druckabfall an, unterbricht, und meint nur, das wird nicht passieren. Sind die Masken ausgegangen oder was?
This is actually pretty common on A320 series aircraft. Watch any A320 video on my channel. They all shake like that when landing. Thanks for watching!
Now that’s not true. I don’t ever ignore you haha. But, as I have mentioned before when we’ve discussed this, I do my best to sit in a variety of seating positions to try to please as many people as possible. However, ultimately, I sit directly behind the wing a lot, because this is first and foremost an aviation channel. And the visual aspects of the wing mechanics and the sounds that are associated with sitting near the wing, are very important. They are my chief concern. Believe me, for every video like this, where I get comments about sitting too close to wing, It’s the exact opposite on flights where I sit farther away from the wing. I get comments asking if I could sit closer to the wings so they can hear the PTU and landing gear etc. So it’s a balancing act. And I promise I take your suggestions into account. Thanks for watching my friend!
I’ve never seen this kind of boarding before using a bus taxi and outside stairs. How do they handle people with special needs? Very clean interior but agree this brand could use thicker seats!
This is pretty common in Europe. Wheelchair passengers who aren’t able to use stairs have to use a special truck that looks like a catering truck. It has a lift that gets them into the back of the truck and then the whole Truck lifts up to one of the boarding doors.
@@sla31 Yes, because when I watched it before, I saw your channel AS aviation, the music is The Fat rat time lapse, it's American Airlines Boeing 737-800, it's from Chicago to Washington.
Watching these videos and listening to the sound of these aircrafts is like therapy to me.
Same
Love this flight thanks for sharing Skylight Productions
Lufthansa……a very classy airline. Thank you for sharing this video.
I like how LH paints the wings all white on top, it looks so much better than having it mostly grey.
It is a mice change of pace. Thanks for watching my friend!
Sehr schönes Video - top Qualität!
My goodness, that’s one fast taxi.
Thank you for showing such interesting views!
From European airports, I really like Schiphol, I will be glad to see your videos from there!
Coming up soon!

Thank you, my friend! Awesome work!!
So nice to see you flying intra Europe!
More Continental European flights coming soon!
Great!!!@@sla31
Fantastic work SP - thanks as always :)

hahahhaa i love this flight attendant at the beginning!!!
I have never seen a taxi that fast after landing, especially when it involves crossing an active runway too.
I agree
Oh wow! This is also a perfect example of a CONF 3 landing. They don’t always land full flaps on the airbus.
Ah so THAT'S why they didn't have the flaps fully extended upon landing. I wondered about that. I thought maybe a problem.

My Serbian brain enjoyed this flight.
Thanks for watching my friend!
very sympathetic purser🥰

right! she has such a beautiful voice too
Love your videos soo much!!
I’m glad you enjoy them my friend!
Love your videos very much. Luftansa Germany's airline.
Wow! Short flight. Excellent audio quality, too, as always. I love hearing the flight attendants announcements in both languages. Are you going to Greece and/or the Greek Islands anytime soon?
Unfortunately no. On this trip I was in Germany, France, Switzerland, and Holland.
Good video. How high did the plane get? Looked around 18K at it's peak (at 30:00 minutes) ...
I don’t remember the exact altitude, but looking at FR24 data, this flight typically cruises around 20K.
Looking at Flightradar data, LH1186 at that day was 23k at it’s peak
Oh wow, I landed an a380 on the same exact runway today in a flight simulator
Did they turn the pack off when takeoff?
Very cool to see you're flying in Europe 🇪🇺 SP. Question are you enjoying it so far or not?

Great fly! Have you heard JetBlue makes a bigger offer for Spirit again?
I did. They just won't give up haha!
Flap is vibrating in flight; it should be checked.

Was that landing with Full flaps? it looks like they where set for takeoff lol
I believe so. Thanks for watching my friend!
Those looked like some pretty loose flaps.
Wow, paper thin seats.
If it gets any thinner, you can wear it like a jacket! 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly they weren’t the most comfortable either. I know that’s shocking haha.
Too much wing. Sit farther back toward in the cab. ( I don’t know why I tell you this. You will just ignore me.)

Can you do the plane trip sometime and put together the fat rat time lapse music?
I believe bis music is copyright protected. Which means I can’t use it my videos. Technically I could, but I’d lose all rights to my video.
