- Welcome to Pokemon Uranium, a game that was barred from release by Nintendo. In this game we explore the Tandor Region where Pokemon have become mutated and corrupted due to fallout from nuclear reactors. Watch as I beat this incredible fan game only using the brand new type it introduces, Nuclear! If I had a nickel for everytime I saw a pokemon uranium video with a nuclear charizard in the thumbnail despite the charmander line not being in the game, I'd have two nickels; which isn't much but it's strange it happened twice.

One Pokemon evolving into two possibilities is a normal thing, but multiple kinds of pokemon evolving into the same thing is something that only pokemon uranium has done
Mostly bc it’s it’s the far worse option of the two, official Pokémon chose the right one tbh

Man, I loved this game. One of the few fan games I've played multiple times. So many good fakemon, but I'll have to say my fave nuclear type is the eeveelution, for all the reasons you mentioned. Nuclear type hyper voice is busted. Not to mention, it's so cute!
Choice specs nucleon was a different animal - did such a good job with the sprite too!
One of my favorite designs is Linkite. It is a substitute doll (because it forgot its own appearance in life) chained to a Pokéball (because it died in a Pokéball). To evolve it, you have to trade it. Then it becomes a nightmare-fuel monstrosity who "seeks revenge on the trainer who abandoned it", the person who traded it away. Really cool concept.
Dang, I really wish I could get my hands on this game. So cool to see someone do a challenge run in Uranium! Hope you do more!

This game was AMAZING. I played this on release and was so sad when it got swept under the rug by Nintendo.
The level jumps in Uranium are crazy. And it’s actually pretty hard. There’s a ton of grinding you need to do, along with smart battling.
My final team was something like Nucleon, Garlikid, Seikamater, Inflagetah, Metalynx
I added a Yatagaryu for the postgame
Solid squad
Not to mention that the seventh gym has pokemon in the 50s. For some comparison, most of the elite four in other games are in the 50s

Forgot their names, but the Water, Fire, Electric bugs. Seikamater, Frosthra. And some other bug, I don't remember which.

I really like the idea of nuclear types, a type thats extremely powerful offensively but super frail defensively
1:58 - By trading with yourself via the use of multiple files you can start the game with any Pokemon while only taking part in 2 mandatory battles. Though, level-wise, the only way to get a Nuclear at an appropriate level is by trading the MG Nuclear Pahar/Hazma since they're the only ones you can get that are around lv5. Even so, since disobedience is baked into nuclear types, it won't take long for opponents to start becoming more than you could handle even if you brought in one from Epsilon.
11:07 - I tested this multiple times and I could not get this to happen even once. Either the circumstances required to trigger this are very strict, or it was fixed in the 1.2.5 update.
11:29 - Clever... That's one of those things that's easy to forget. I literally just used HP Ground on a Super Effective target even though neutral STAB Psychic would've done more damage a few minutes ago while watching this.
14:57 - Me: (Hears "My ass medic")
(Looks closer at the name and realizes that it could also be read as "My Ass, Me Dick")
That's the fastest a Pokemon name has been ruined for me, as well as, in part, *BY* me...
18:00 - Speaking of which, if it seemed like the Water and Fire Gyms were harder, it's because they were. The game had a glitch that made Seikamater's Elementalist Ability not boost Electric-Type attacks as it should, and apply the boost to Fire and Water moves to *ALL* Pokemon in the game. However, thankfully, the game *FINALLY* got a new patch for the first time in nearly half a decade that fixed that glitch so the game is *MUCH* more balanced on that front as a result. (Among many other changes, it also added the ability to skip the intro for those who have already beaten the game, which helps save a good amount of time.)
18:58 - I've been playing this game for years and this is my first time seeing that because I've played with battle animations off 99.9% of the time.
26:12 - My guess is you were looking at the Wiki page and mistook Mega Syrentide's stats with its normal form and assumed you wouldn't be able to get over its giant Sp DEF booty.
It would be cool if there was a sequel or a remake of Uranium that sort of "stabilized" the nuclear type and made it more like a regular type instead of just being super effective against everything.
I love this game. And I think you could have started using nuclear Pokemon way earlier, since there's a mystery gift for a hazma I'm pretty sure

This game is amazing
I liked this game, however, i feel like nuclear type was poorly implemented. The no obey mechanic makes it unusable for most of the game (except nucleon) and being super effective against everything but steel type makes it so most things are x4 weak against it. I was able to cheese the very hard endgame by spaming choice scarf nuclear type hyper voice with nucleon
Agreed. It's hard to make a whole new type and game I'd imagine. Love the concept, but it was just okay execution
To be fair, Nuclear was fine, Nucleon is just completely broken in every way.

Water should be effective against nuclear type because nuclear generators use water and ice to stabilize the uranium inside

I tried this myself, traded a Xenomite at the start. very fun
A lot of people don't use the overpowered move that is hyper beam on nucleon because they can learn it
I guess the drawback of recharge is probably why
Because hyper beam is actual garbage, especially on a pokemon that takes super effective damage from everything

It's much better with Hyper Voice and Choice Specs. The ability to make normal moves nuclear also gives a damage boost, so you deal like a base damage of 340 or something, it's been a while

ah yes the banned game that refuses to die,
ngl it seems alittle bare bones but still kinda cool,plus I van't hate a game that gave Arbok a megaform and Dunsprarce a really badly needed evolution infact acouple original fanmons were actually pretty good.
Get a half nuclear and half steel type pokemon and you have a really good typing.
With a double resistance to nuclear and a normal resistance against poison.
It would also get 4 times weakness to fight, fire and ground.
But in turn would loose most of the weaknesses from the nuclear type taking now neutral hits from normal, bug, flying, rock, steel, grass, psychic, ice, dragon, fairy
As dark, ghost, water and Electric are still very effectiv.
And your stab nuclear attacks would be very effectiv against all other types besides nuclear and steel. But a ground move like earthquake, to deal with steel types, most mons can learn especially steel type mons can learn earthquake and other ground type moves.
I know this is an old comment, but the only Nuclear / Steel type is an unobtainable nuclear form. I won't say any in-game story context to it due to major spoilers, but even if you could catch it, it'd only be possible in the endgame or post-game as its nuclear form is only in one encounter in the entire game and is uncatchable, even if found in a randomizer.
I think bug and steel types should resist
I would think nuclear should be neutral against electricity and maybe fire, no effect or neutral against poison, and not very effective against ground (cause radioactive waste used to be placed underground)
Loved making my let's play on it. Nuclear types can prove a challenge if you're unprepared.

There should be 20th type. Mod type. You there trainer can modify your pokemon to whatever. Evee is a perfect example of that

I think there's another fan game that has that mechanic, I remember some other UA-camr playing it and giving his Eevee a steel attack named "G U N"

Garados atk is much higher then sepecial atk of course aqua tail does much more damage it’s a physical move.
