I installed the same exact mount in my living room! It was over our gas fireplace so the studs were center and far left and right of center but I had a cross beam st just the right height, I guess as part of the frame for the fireplace or the housing behind it, so we put 3 lag bolts in the top and one on the bottom in the center beam.
You did this so ass backwards it's ridiculous haha. You get the arms on the TV BEFORE you choose the mounting height of your wall bracket so you can get the proper measurements of where that wall bracket will be in relation to the TV height. Lord help you if you ever have to perfectly center a TV vertically and horizontally in built in cabinetry. BTW, that mount works, but there's a reason it's dirt cheap... it's pretty shit.
Correction after you watch the video: The ASMR section of peeling plastic off the tv does not require two people (haha).

Oh nice! I'm sure that worked out well. As long as you get a couple of lag bolts into a stud, the tv mount isn't going anywhere!
