It certainly is a different experience out in the pool and a pretty good workout also. Once the waves start churning out from the machine it gets hectic out in the lineup. Your right it could get very addictive for sure👍
It’s true. The wave kind of comes from nowhere and you really need to be ready and in position before the person before you takes off. Not a lot of time to start paddling. So different to the ocean.
You’re absolutely right Veronica, it just happens so fast and before you know it the wave has finished and the cycle starts all over again. It’s certainly different to the ocean, but it’s fun in it’s own way.
Hi Matt you’ll have a great time surfing in the pool for sure. I used a old surfboard and I fell off a few times but did not ding my board, I was lucky I think. Maybe use a hire board for your first time, it will take the stress away of possibly dinging your surfboard.
No snakes!! Everyone lines up and takes their turn. The waves come thru the pool at a pretty fast rate and before you know it you’ll be up for the next bomb set🌊
Super tiring paddling back out non stop, you don’t sit and wait for long before you’re up. First 30 mins - sets usually 6 or 7... then next 30 mins going 12+
2+ on the old scale on take off then trails off a bit near the end of the wave. Advanced and expert settings the wave becomes more hollow slightly bigger with the lip pitching out making the take off more crucial. Slightly longer rides on the upper scale waves too.
The first time out was a very surreal experience since then I’m addicted can’t wait to go every weekend

Wow the price has gone up.
Yes it has increased a bit.
having first go soon, wondering if i use my own board or rent, heightened risk of dings/damage in this concrete & whatever arena ?

It’s definitely a good workout for sure, the last 15 minutes of my session my arms felt like they were turning to jelly after all the paddling.
Well ! Dan is not just an Icon of tourism adventures, but a pretty good surfer as well. Didn't like the look of the pizza!!!
Thanks Dad you’re too kind😊, yeah the Pizza wasn’t the best but we had a great day!
1 to 1.5 m?......1 to 2 ft.....
