  • The measurement of success for athletes of all levels is oftentimes determined by the results in a race or a challenge. What is often missed in the pursuit of performance is the change that sport makes on an athlete's life and how those changes are powerful and stand the test of time.
In this episode of Frontiers, we catch up with Olympian, Ironman athlete, and Wahooligan Sarah True. Sarah describes how sport has changed her life, has made her a better person, and has given her the confidence to tackle whatever she chooses to do in her post-professional career.
We (athletes) are not one dimensional but are multidimensional individuals with values and struggles. Frontiers seek to explore what makes athletes who they are and challenges the preconception that performance is the measurement for success.

After her Frankfurt race she became my favorite athlete

The people who made this video are real artists! They were able to show Sarah’s spirit in images. ”what’s next?” She said. I think that when the time has come, she will be a great coach as she is so inspiring. I followed her race at IronMan Frankfurt and this woman went at the very end of her body, but she didn’t surrender. She is an Ironman...

Thank you for putting this together Team Wahoo. Sarah is a gem and this piece was inspiring. I hope to be 1/2 the "work horse" that Sarah is to reach my next new height. She leads by example.

Triathlon has a very special person in Mrs.True not only as an athlete but as an Ambassador for the sport. Let us hope the powers that be are aware of it.

As an age-grouper, I know the feeling of being knocked off the podium and wondering where the training plan wasn’t enough. It’s supposed to be tough and I crave the competition. Great video Sarah!

Love this. So real to discuss disappointment and how it challenges the person deeply. I really admire her and have for some time. Thanks!

Great person and athlete I’m so lucky I started triathlon at 48 years old I have so much left to accomplish in this sport it’s very exciting for me I wish the pros would look at it the same way. Keep training it does not have to be about being first all the time. It’s about the ride.

Great video! As a road marathoner for the past 5 years, I'm always looking for new tips on motivation, getting stronger and preventing dreaded injuries. Your post is very inspirational. As a fellow UA-camr, I love sharing my knowledge and experiences to help other runners. I know how much goes into these videos! Keep posting - I just subscribed!

My only real complaint from Wahoo is that we need more content! You're a victim of your own success

Sarah True is a fantastic Triathlete, she just needs the right nutrition and Trainer to help her cope in the heat. She has been so good in her last 3 IM till 30k in the run where she explodes of heat exhaustion from a bad plan!!!......such a pity
