Takayama is a MUST visit for anybody who can only spare a few days in their itinerary to see the beautiful countryside, the charming small town atmosphere outside of Tokyo. There is soooooo much to see, do, eat and buy there. Shirakawago is an easy afternoon excursion, there are fantastic museums and galleries, excellent retro Showa museums (two of them at last count!) and wonderful ice cream, beef, miso, sake, local honey...it just goes on. What a charming, gorgeous video. Even in the rainy gloom it's beautiful. Thank you for inspiring me to keep saving and working overtime for my next trip back. I'll be so smug when I have all that extra spending money! 🥰😃
