That is an awesome 8x50R conversion! I had one once upon a time, not quite so nice! Very cool to find it on a French contract M91! And yea that Berdan II you got with the AZF on it, was a really nice one! Still can't believe the bore on it was so nice. The oldest Imperial Russian rifle I ever had, 1884 Sestroryetsk. I miss it! I'd of held on to it if I could have!
Good info and would love to have a any Finnish mosin in my collection. But the price on any mosin is just out of hand lately. I wish I could go back 10-15 years and buy a m91, m27, m28, 28/30, m39. Would be worth it then. But not now imo. I pretty much done buying milsup. Unless I can get a deal from private or friends.
It's MadManMosin Minute now.....Thank you for your Mosin Wisdom. You are GREATLY APPRECIATED

Nice to see an in-depth from you, Sam. Cool stuff.
I just bought an azf marked reciver , it has a vkt D 1940 barrel with 0394 serial. I'm assuming this would be considered an m91/24?
