You can count yourself lucky to have found this unique person, I've been listening to Bucketheat for a little over 2 years, he has replaced all the other bands and guitarists for me, I only listen to Buckethead. I keep thinking, now I've found all the golden tracks, but Buckhead keeps teaching me that he always manages to inspire me, and I'm very, very demanding when it comes to music. Easily one of the greatest pikes. Every song is perfect. The opening to claymation courtyard is his best, disintegration mirrors is incredible, and Eerie canal is one of my favorite songs of all time.

THIS one is too much, no, this is too much. Every time I listen to Pike 51 it gets better and better, you come to feel emotions you never thought yourself capable of, pure ecstasy to the ears and soul.
How fkn mind-blowing is this pike around the 25 to 27 minute mark!! And then just before catching your breath it knocks you off your feet!! FKN UNREAL :)
Incredibly amazing playing on this pike, Disintegration Mirrors is definitely one of his greatest solos ever, pure magic! Eerie Canal is pretty awesome too. I still don't get why people complain about the pikes' rate of release &/or that his "look" is holding him back from being taken seriously by anyone but his fans. Obviously, he does things his way when he wants to, gotta admire that even if you're not a fan, not to mention his guitar wizardy & creative prowess. We've got, Vai, Satch, Gilbert, Govan, Eklundh etc...& Buckethead, simple as that. Part of the enjoyment with Big B for me at least, is actually hunting down all of gems he consistently creates on his releases, born from the anticipation of "what's this immensely talented & creative genius gonna do next?" This ride's over...for now...back to the front of the line...
His look is the reason I respect him even more. It probably isn't how it started but it gives the feeling that what is important is the music and not the author which, maybe paradoxically, elevates the author even higher.

From reading some of the comments, I'm not sure if this is one person or a whole band. But whatever it's incredible. I'm a Jethro Tull fan but this is as good as Tull . Someone tell me about this band ! What is a pike? I just discovered this about 15 minutes ago. I need to know more. can someone who knows tell me all about it, if you've got the time.
Buckethead isn't a band, it's just a guy that releases a ridiculous amount of music mostly by himself. For most of the pike albums a guy named Dan Monti programs the drums, and buckethead does the rhythm, lead, and bass guitar stuff. The pike albums are just a series of 276 I think 30 minute or so albums, which he says all are themes to rides and things at his (imaginary unfortunately) amusement park. He does have many other full length albums with a real drummer, and he has also worked with many other artists like Bootsy Collins, and Viggo Mortensen. He's been on several movie, and video game soundtracks as well.

Eerie Canal is one of my favorites by Buckethead.
Love a lot of his work (though not every album) but this one somehow stands out. It's so lined up and rhytmic, just a pleasure to listen to.
I start my mornings out with his beautiful melodic guitar work, gets me up and working out. Light in the fog is amazing as is this one.

Someone tell me about this band ! What is a pike? I just discovered this about 15 minutes ago. I need to know more. can someone who knows tell me all about it, if you've got the time.
Buckethead isn't a band, it's just a guy that releases a ridiculous amount of music mostly by himself. For most of the pike albums a guy named Dan Monti programs the drums, and buckethead does the rhythm, lead, and bass guitar stuff. The pike albums are just a series of 276 I think 30 minute or so albums, which he says all are themes to rides and things at his (imaginary unfortunately) amusement park. He does have many other full length albums with a real drummer, and he has also worked with many other artists like Bootsy Collins, and Viggo Mortensen. He's been on several movie, and video game soundtracks as well.
