This dairy-free vanilla ice cream is possibly my favorite ice cream on the blog yet. It’s perfectly sweet, vanilla-infused, with just a hint of coconut flavor you’d only pick out if you knew you were looking for it.
Because this vegan vanilla ice cream is churned, it’s super creamy with a fluffy, airy texture. The recipe is vegan (dairy-free, egg-free), grain-free (gluten-free), soy-free, and refined sugar-free.

In my country, Malaysia, we make ice cream with coconut milk corn, green bean, red bean, black glutinous rice, it's really awesome. We enjoyed it since childhood and it's easy to prepare..❤
That sounds so interesting! I just googles it to see how exactly it is made. Thank you for sharing!❤
It would be great to have an ice cream recipe that does not require an ice cream maker.
She posted one a month ago.
@@ep5058 I just found it on her YT site. Thanks so much!!
I am planning on posting one for no-churn chocolate ice cream. It's already filmed ;)
I wonder if it could be frozen in an ice cube tray, then put back in the vitamix?
@@NutritionRefined I would LOVE that! Thank you.
I have made this 3 times now and I used powdered swerve in the place of maple syrup.
My whole family, including my junk food carnivore loving family LOVE this ice cream! Thank you sooo much!
Your husband is such a good tester. I loves his description of the flavors.
I will pass on your comments :) Thank you for the kind words!
@@NutritionRefinedit sounds like he is describing the taste of wine 😂
Hey Kiddo. FYI, I found out by accident I can substitute one or two Tablespoons of organic "coconut butter" to my can of full fat coconut milk, in butter, cheese, and ice cream recipes, and I don't need cashews. It sets up in the refrig. This combo makes fantastic vegan butter. Take care.
I think you should start a blog and document your experiments. You have so many great insights! Thank you for always sharing your knowledge!
@@NutritionRefined Wow. Thank you. You are very kind. I am just an ugly old man who stutters and drools and sleeps till 10. Who is going to watch me? When I walk down the street, babies cry and dogs whimper. I take a shower, start to sing, and water turns cold. It is embarrassing, the people in the house next door think I am a soprano. Anyway it is fun to share with someone, really smart, on the same wavelength, with high standards, who I respect and appreciate, and who can understand and appreciate and use these ideas. If you want to use any of them in a video feel free to. You do not have to give me credit. Nine years ago, a doctor told me I had an incurable disease, and had three months to live. I read a bunch of $100 books I bought used on Amazon for $1.50. I figured it out, changed my diet, went high electrolyte, vegan and alkaline, mostly raw, but I do a lot of cooked things too, and I completely recovered, and it did not take long either. The thing is, as you know, high quality organic food tastes better. I am having so much fun inventing a new way of cooking, and it tastes so good, I am having a hard time feeling sorry for myself. I cook meals for friends and family and they go nuts over it. They want cooking lessons. They really do, And they are not interested at all in the theory behind it. They like how it tastes and how good it makes them feel. So it looks like I am going to write a book. If I do, I will send you a copy for review. Anyway, thanks for saying such a very nice thing. Coming from you it means a lot to me. You are so very good at what you do, and your recipes are right on target. God bless.
This looks soo good and ice cream is my favorite! Can’t wait to try this healthier version! Thank you for sharing ❤
Awesome! Hope you like the recipe :)
Appreciate the detailed taste analysis! Thank you very much
Thank you very much for watching :)
It's cold but it's warm. Love it.
Hi Andrew! It always makes me happy to see you in the comments!! Lol, Tanner's descriptions are sometimes too "sophisticated".
Thanks for the tip!
Thank you for watching :)
❤️Wow!!! WONDERFUL …THANK YOU❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for always sharing, creative & healthy vegan recipes:)
Thank YOU for the kind words! I have been churning ice cream all summer so I will be sharing more recipes ;)
@@NutritionRefined Awesome! Look forward to it, thanks a bunch
for sharing🙂
👋 hi, I viewed the strawberry ice cream first by accident. So I was halfway prepared for the vanilla ice cream. Still at awe of how delicious 😊❤
Looks amazing. 👏🏻
Thank you so much!
Just found your channel, thank you for sharing this healthy raw vegan receipe!! I will definately try them ❤
Awesome! So happy you found my channel :)
Loved it. Last month or so to enjoy the ice cream.
Also Petra, I was wondering if you have some recipes with Beetroots. Sweet or savory....anything. Would love it.
Yum, I am waiting for the chocolate version to post :)
Awesome ❤
Thank you! :)
Hello what icecream maker are you using and are you happy with it's design, function and food safety parts?
Thank you for sharing a simple but healthy luscious dessert yum 😋.
What ice cream maker did you use?
It’s by Cuisinart.
Check in the description box below her clip where it says "more."
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼excellent , love the description although is there a substitute for the coconut milk ?❤
The reason full-fat coconut milk works so well here is that it's high in fat. If you use other plant-based milk, the ice cream will probably be icier. Is there a reason you want to substitute coconut milk? You don't need to use canned coconut milk. You can use fresh coconut cream/milk made from fresh coconuts (I have a video on this channel showing the process). If you're worried about the coconut flavor, you could try using homemade cashew cream/cashew milk, which is perhaps the creamiest alternative.
@@NutritionRefined yes i was worried about the coconut taste ill try the cashew cream ty 😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
In all the recipes
Hi, thank you. How much saturated fat per serving? That’s a lot of coconuts in there.
Very delicious, but also expensive recipe.
True. I feel like nuts and raw/unprocessed sweeteners are expensive in general.
Looks so good, but how do you make it without the cashews ?
You could try substituting the cashews for a different neutral nut, such as blanched almonds or even macadamia nuts.
Looks delicious! I wonder if there's a rich vegan ice-cream we can make that doesn't contain coconut or any nuts as my granddaughter who has dairy and coconut allergies, can't have this version obviously. So hard to find a commercial vegan ice-cream without coconut and I'd rather make my own without all the processed stuff.
This is one without coconut, nuts or dairy ua-cam.com/video/jdzw-8R-PAo/v-deo.html
Hmm, removing both nuts and coconut is tricky. However, I have made churned chocolate ice cream with barista-style oat milk (+ cocoa powder, coconut sugar, and melted chocolate) and it worked. I have never tried it a vanilla version, though. I can email you the recipe if you'd like. (Don't share your email here on UA-cam. If you leave a comment/request on my blog under any recipe, I will be able to see your email and email you).
Cold but warm does not describe the flavor. 🙄Delicious is a great word to describe food. Sweet with a hint of maple not too sweet creamy smooth and yummy delightful satisfying idk gosh! Technical the first flavor u taste well most people taste the whole thing we can distinguish different nuance's but the main thing is does it taste good? Not well it's cold and warm and nutty with some maple. We c what's in the recipe, we can't however determine if it is scrumptious or yucky lol I have always enjoyed your video's and all of your recipes r so on point and look so elevated. I just wish the description of the flavor was a little more descriptive, we r not always wanting a comparison to the original item we r interested is it so delectable that our palettes will say yesssss! I hope I didn't offend anyone. Your husband seams like a sweet person and he is gracious enough to b your guinea pig lol so we appreciate him.
Not offensive at all. Constructive criticism is always welcomed :)
Please upload more
I wish I had a little more time. Due to some family circumstances, I had to take on another (full-time) job, so my uploads have not been as frequent. Hopefully I will be able to start uploading more regularly soon! It's good to know that you'd appreciate more frequent uploads, though :) Thank you!
What kind of ice cream maker is that?
It's the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker (I always link all the kitchen tools in the description box below the video ;)
at 0:11 I thought it's truly cashew based, but it isn't 😐 as there is a coconut product added which i can't stand
Your recipes look delicious and nutritious, but I can’t make them because you don’t show the quantities used. I’m not good at guessing. :(
Ah, I do have all the recipes with the exact quantities on my blog, if you're interested. Here's a link to this recipe: nutritionrefined.com/vegan-vanilla-ice-cream/
It's a pity that the measurement is not added.
'promo sm' ☝️
I am autistic and absoulutely HATE the taste of coconut so I really do hope it doesn't taste like coconut just like your husband said
Cashews are the worst nuts ever 😢
You could possibly substitute them for another neutral nut, such as macadamia nuts or blanched almonds.
@@NutritionRefined thanks...
Bruh... You can't have dairy free ice cream. This shit is nut cream.
As you saw in the video, you can ;)
Loved it. Last month or so to enjoy the ice cream.
Also Petra, I was wondering if you have some recipes with Beetroots. Sweet or savory....anything. Would love it.
Hmm, I don't really have recipes with beets published on my blog but I use beets a lot in salads and smoothies. Just this morning I made a smoothie with beets (+ spinach, avocado, and blueberries), and it was really good.
