This style of benching is the only barbell pressing variation that I feel working that stubborn area. I bring the bar to my chin and never lockout the weight and keeping constant tension. It definitely isn’t the longest ROM for all the haters online but gives insane results!
Ken Lain former bench press WR holder used to tell all of us in the gym that he had to do flat presses to the Adam’s apple to get his upper pecs to grow. If you look at old pics of him, his delta are the size of his head, so probably shoulder dominant also. Ha
@@florentardizio at 6-1 since 1979 . arms 3 inches longer. ( shirt sleeves always short) Incline benching was plain out very comfy I was inclining 405 for sets unless 10 years at age 46.
Since your going through that ROM anyway, shouldn’t that cover both?? (slightly less optimal from a fatigue stand point by a few reps but upper chest growth should still be significant, no?)
Justin always brings such a wealth of knowledge.
One of the most intelligent people I’ve ever listened to

Yes sir on all exercises as well legs arms etc
Great video. Where can I find that t-shirt?
I might try this tonight. Im very shoulder dominant
I am very front delt dominant. I am going to definitely give those a try. Thanks!!
A wealth of knowledge, great stuff justin 👍
High Necks. I sometimes do these with a pause at the bottom, great for developing strength at an awkward position.
Neutral grip db press on an incline and reverse grip presses with dbs,and ring push-ups were what helped my upper chest the most.
Justin is an amazing source of knowledge. I will always listen to this guy even though I'm also a powerlifter

Great tip ty sir.
Guillotine presses, I believe. I was never comfortable with them, but I'll try with the shorter ROM. Great video!
I’ll try this evening but with dumbbells
Love that smith machine attachment. Where can I buy it?
Give us some incentive, how would a bigger/stronger upper chest improve our powerlifting bench.
Works amazingly good
Sweet man, nice info
Justin's great 👍🏾
just do an incline with a reverse grip. that will kill the upper chest
Smart. Thanks.
I was aalways lousy flat bencher. My Incline ( 25-45 degrees ) was always 125-150 lbs lbs stronger
how is that possible ?
he probably didn't flat bench much

Is that smith machine attachment available for purchase yet?
Gotta reach out to Matt Goodwin for the answer to that
