I find it immensely hilarious that in the almost two decades of code Geass discussion, almost nobody finds that Lelouch "first girl I ever loved" weird because either everyone interprets it as the little kids wanting to marry before they understand what it means or just go: "Yeah, they're English royalty, that's normal for them" lmao.
Edit: now that I think of it, I love that this is clearly the point of no return for everyone, especially for Lelouch. There's no way he can go back to being a good normal person after using this tragedy for his own gain.
Also, bringing Jeremiah back as a badass Cyborg that went from one of the most hated characters to one of the most beloved ones is probably my favorite thing about code Geass. More writers should have their pathetic characters go out hilariously early on to come back with a vengeance later.
Only the Real G's remember Zatch Bell
Lol, your expressions when Nina learned that Euphie died. 😂😂
This is how to map out Suzaku's motivations:
-at the beginning of the show his only motivation is _to die_ , but his hypocrisy born of massive PTSD forces him to seek a way to die _honorably_ (ie while saving lives). To do this, he joins the Brit Military (cuz he really has no other choice), and tells himself the end goal is to "reform the system from within" (even though it's a thinly veiled excuse to justify his _actual_ goal, ie _dying_ ).
-this is his main "excuse" for keeping on living; right up until he meets Euphy, and then it's all about _Euphy_ . Which, ironically, finally gives him a _legitimate_ way to achieve his original "excuse goal" of "changing the system from the inside". But if we're being honest, that is 50% loyalty to Euphy, and 50% his Geass command preventing him from unaliving himself (which he would _absolutely_ have done if not for the Geass order).
-then, Euphy dies, and at this point there is no doubt in my mind Suzaku would have absolutely ended his life right then and there with her. But he _can't_ . Because he's Geassed _not to_ . So the only other avenue to him is Revenge.
-then we get into Season 2 stuff, which is arguably the most interesting bit of Suzaku's psychological analysis... but spoilers obviously.
It's not just a thinly veiled excuse, albeit I agree he is suicidal. The scene in Ep 5 where Lelouch and Suzaku monologue about changing the world implies there's a part of them that's genuine about it. Because even Lelouch is merely a hypocrite about making a better world when his real goal is revenge against his dad.
About that name CC said "Marianne", it is not the first time you hear it
From Episode 1: Well then
To Episode 23: Now Then.
Goddamn that scene with Euphemia brought tears to my eyes even in this video. It's so heartbreaking. Euphy deserved better!
I wish they had done eps 23-25 to wrap up this season. Otherwise next week it will either be awkward jumping from end of s1 into ep 1 of R2 or they'd have to dedicate a reaction episode just to episode 25
I mean if they want the full story next thing would be akito technically as its chronological
@@sirken2it's completely unnecessary for the main story though
@@tslex6477it’s necessary because why are the government eyeing on lelouch after season 1 and akito movie explained it
@@tylerassady9118 they're eyeing him Because of a CC
@@tslex6477 Well seeing how there is Rosier now it kind of is entirely relevant if you want the full context. Akito also goes into more of the dynamic with Lelouch and Suzaku and shows what happened in the time gap between 1 and 2. People say it isn't relevant but I feel all facets of the duos dynamic is relevant. If it was confirmed to be a different time line then sure I'd agree but its conical in nature.
The irony of Nunnally's character is that in another show she would be Lelouch's morality pet rather than his motivation for his evil whereas it was Euphie who was both Lelouch and Suzaku's morality pet and with her death the shackles holding them both back have been replaced, allowing their evil to be unleashed unrestrained.
42:25 😂 I love Mehgan’s face when Josh goes a little too far
Frl😂😂😂😂
I get so hype when I see these at the start of my work day, now the next work hour will be bareable 🙌
This is peak code geass lol there is a reason this is considered anime gold, on the same level of hype as Cowboy Bebop
Preach 🗣️
16:12 At last he's here, the mad genius! ZERO! My favorite anime anti-hero.
Hell yeah. New OP is T.M. Revolution. They kick ass. Also recommend checking out their previous band T.M. Network. I also recommend checking out the bands Access or AXS, and Iceman.
Man, that scene of Nina is wylin and Euphy doing what she did. My god also what an awesome battle to wrap up S1 going into S2.
HELL NO!! 😂😂 Josh was about to flip the table over!! cant wait for the final ep and cosplay!!
Love this show, it still hits even after all these years and watching multiple times
Why do onions end up being cut every time I see this episode???
I fukken love your reactions damn
Thank you! 😊💜
Yass so happy to see a new video. Although the discussion for episode 23 kinda pains me hah. I won’t spoil anything, but the name C2 said is not random..and should have given you some kind of idea
I didn't want to mention it until after this episode because it would have maybe(?) had minor spoilers, but there is a band named Area 11 who made a song titled Euphemia. The song is actually what got me to watch Code Geass originally because I was curious what it could have possibly meant. Finally reaching episode 22 and 23 shattered me, even though I knew something bad was going to happen with her the tension was so high, probably forever solidified the series as one of my top 10.
"Ohgi better live"
Lol
Next two eps are gonna so good. Can't wait for all the theory crafting.
Thanks, I've been looking for your reaction to these episodes for all these 6 days! Should I remind you who Marianne is? 😅 But I guess, it will kill all intrigue...
I don't know how far ahead you are from this video but I highly recommend watching S2E2/Episode 27 immediately after finishing S2E1/Episode 26.
We did!
@@volumeoneplus if you guys did 3 uploads ahead on Patreon I would buy it, and I think more people would too since that’s the main selling point of Patreon
love these cg reacts guys
Yeah the name c2 says should be pretty familiar. You said who it was in ep21
Is it crazy that after Code Geass, I would love it if they would react to Vampire Knight
and thus the Demon knight was Born
--------------------------------------------------------------
several things are weird about this episode
1. euphy somehow doesn´t survive this ... but mao survived getting guned down
i would have written it that she was going to make it
but then kills herself to supress the command to kill suzaku
2. "you are the first girl i ever loved"
God damm it........... she is your (half) sister
3. Cornelia canceling the attack .........
she would have gun on a murder spree to avange euphemia ........... or atleast let her amry do so while she morns
*talking about 23 only
R we gonna have episodes 25 and 26 next video, that'd be fun.
There are only 25 episodes 1st season so it'd have to be eps 25 and 1
Probably a lot of discussion for the finale, one of the craziest cliffhangers for sure
But imagine the cliffhanger if they just go straight into r2 ep 1 😂
@@MangoMann072 Season 2 EP1 is Episode 26.
Marianne is Lelouch mother name
The twists and turns are what make this anime great, both in season 1 and 2.
yo, don't forget about the Rebuild Evangelion movies. If you want a less bleak ending then you gotta watch them all. They're a fantastic 4 movies. (Btw they're titled weird so start with 1.11 then 2.22 then 3.33 and finally 3.33+1.11 (cause 4 is like evil or something))
We have watched and reacted all of the rebuild movies! 😊

is it Marianne at the end since her death kinda set everything in motion?
Remember to get some hugs. Hope you make it all the way to the end ❤
HE CALLED V2 A FKIN MUMODO LMAO
You guys should heavily consider watching r2 ep 1 as well if you havent filmed it yet
Now we're going to see a Suzaku who's discarded his moral code. Not fully maybe but after losing Euphie, he now has a tin heart.
Next episode question?
United States of Japan might sound funny but they dont have a U.S.A the revolution failed
please react to 25 and after start season 2
Peak
From Japan, I am watching the reaction video. Please give me a reaction to Madoka Magica. I highly recommend it because it is an interesting and unpredictable story.
This show does not give you any breathing time
Hello A2, my name is B2, let me introduce you to deez2
New vid?
Tomorrow! 🙏🏻
I hope you guys give Akito the Exiled a watch after Season 1.
It's a simpler story, but the music is as good as, and the action scenes and Knightmare design often better than, the main series.
☕
think i like season twos finale more then first seasons.
But thats also the end of the hole thing this just going to be another cliffhanger we know it hehe.
The horrifying moment known as the Euphinator Incident.
This is the beginning of... well, I wanna say the finale. But it's a BIG finale.
Also, oh my god, the First Prince is such a useless royal.
Wonder if they’ll do the movies, even though they’re just an excuse for lelouch to act even more dramatic and zesty, which is why we all love him
Yall should peep akito the exiled no one reviews it
V1 > V.V.
