How do you feel about using it on the C70 without lens support? And does it feel too front heavy? Thinking about running the 50-100 with a C70, and V mount to balance out the weight distribution.

Thanks for sharing the video. I'm curious, how do you feel about it compared to the Proteus 2x Lenses? Personally, I find that the 2x lenses offer a richer anamorphic character, even when cropped to 2.4:1. It adds a more cinematic touch, don't you think?

Agree 100% - The Proteus are on a completely different level, I think. There definitely is a gap in character and quality from the reasonably “affordable” anamorphic sets (Proteus, Orions, Mercury, Pavo) vs the very affordable models (Sirui, Nanomorph, etc). BUT I still really like the Nanomorphs, even if they don’t have the richer look and character of the Proteus.

you can add a 1.3x adapter to the front to get 2x

@@ODHunte im not sure if this gives a different charakter then a single 2x Lens.

@@ODHunte I'd love to test this out. From what I've seen on the normal nanomorphs (not the zooms), it makes it pretty soft and a little too warp-y for my liking.

@@CurrenSheldon you could always try adapters from other brands. Maybe one will be to your taste… ?

I’m wondering about the Laowa macro? I know you’re not talking about it here. But have you worked with this lens yourself? :)

I have NOT used it, but it looks pretty sweet. My friend Brady (who I interviewed for this channel), used it a bunch so ask a question on that video and I'll have him stop by and answer: ua-cam.com/video/9iv3-AaWT3E/v-deo.html

Why don't you start by informing the audience what "anamorphic" means?

Would someone need to explain spherical lenses before each review video? Almost every pro filmmaker knows what an anamorphic lens is. There's always google too.

That's a solid point - perhaps I assumed people have watched as many anamorphic review videos as I have - haha.
