Absolutely extraordinary(!) He was one of the first French people to write concerti, but only his four-part Concerto has come down to us. He performed at the Concert Spirituel with Leclair, Guignon, Mondonville and Jacques Aubert. After meeting Telemann in 1746 in Paris, he introduced his quartets in the formation he had created, a quartet of flute, violin, viola da gamba or cello and basso continuo. Was the author of the first French comic opera, "Le jaloux corrigé" (1752.).
Wow ! Italian influence here especially Vivaldi. Master of the flute I can hear why Telemann thought highly of him and Leclair wrote music for Blavet; not all Frenchmen chose to go Galant, top drawer playing! Love it ❤️
