My brother just had partial knee replacement last Wednesday, March 13. He called me on Thursday, the 14th and was walking with no walker, no cane, and NO PAIN!! The method they used was called Navio; also a partial robotic system. He is only the 8th person in Florida to have this type of surgery, and he said all 8 people that have undergone this have been 100% successful!!
My grand daughter's husband recently had this done to his shattered hip and I had it last week for total knee replacement and we are both happy with the results...
Is the makoplasty robotics used for a full knee replacement? I thought this is only for partial replacement? It’s a longer recovery though. How much longer generally can a patient expect? I wish their was a forum w former patients talking about their experiences. All the people having this done and it’s impossible to find answers going into this.
I’m 9 weeks post-op and find this fastening. I’m still waiting to sleep more than a 2-4 hours at night but otherwise, A-Ok. 😊 I’m retired and so glad I don’t have to go back to work with my fuzzy, half brain. 🤪
@@Redheadedlady55 I had my knee replacement surgery yesterday and it went well. I already got sent home (the very next day!!) I have a ROM machine at home that was delivered earlier.
I had a great surgeon for the Mako robotic-assist partial knee replacement. However, I find one of the physical therapy exercises to be very painful. But I hear it is necessary. I am hoping I will feel less pain as the weeks go by.

I had both of mine done this way a year apart. Best decision I ever made.
Amazing technology sir, it's the future in knee replacement surgery and other orthopaedic procedure also. Regards
This technology is three decades ahead of what we had 30 years ago!
Daren Wilson you are so right!
It's amazing
Stunning technology

It’s used for both. It said that in the video.

How are you doing now?
~Amen....my replaced knee is doing great but I had the best PT who guided me.
Did you use the Mako robotic equipment for surgery?
~Yes...indeed...
@@Redheadedlady55 thank you for responding.
