I'm really digging the extended footage that shows some of the slower points of the game. It's interesting to watch him and see what he does when he's sitting on 1.5k gold, whether he backs or continues for tempo/fights. Watching fights is entertaining and I've learned a lot even from them, but it's the small the decisions that are so important and interesting.
Challengers werent better back then imo, if you took the top of the ladder now and the top of the ladder then. A lot more of the people in top 50 kr have way more game knowledge than top 50 of the past. The difference is there is less variance, back then the game wasnt as figured out. The people who understood it were leagues above everyone else, now most have a decent base level. So theres a lot less of a gap between chally and sub ranks than before
Its really weird how all the people who have been playing for ages think that back when they "started" that reaching challenger was harder than now after years of gaining experience. A lot of the players you have listed have been playing for ages, a lot of the people who played with them back then quit instead of getting even better, and people who reach challenger now have not been playing for as long. I do not think players are worse now, I think the people judging have just become even better ;)
