I'm living my nightmare of failing Med-Surg by one point and repeating my 3rd semester; It's so encouraging to know that EVEN MIKE, THE SIMPLE NURSING GUY, had to repeat too.

This past Monday I failed out of my RN nursing program because my microphone on my laptop could not be troubleshooted till after my time window. The school has you to sign a DocuSign that states if it is not a college problem you are not able to take the exam. This is my second chance with the program along with about seventy other students. I never would have thought my laptop would be a factor. You read and sign this but never think it will happen.
I hated the majority of my instructors. My first clinical day they told us to meet in the lobby. We’re 10 students, the hospital lobby is bustling with visitors and employees. We’re being polite by not taking up the chairs, so we’re all standing around. Finally one of us spots our instructor standing on the other end, almost as if she was hiding from us. Sure enough, we all get over to her and immediately hear about the importance of timeliness and being where we’re supposed to me 🙄. Another one hated men and she didn’t hide her disdain for male students. But the field was evenly matched. we had some real drama queens in our cohort, as well as your usual know-it-all-who-didn’t-know-it-all, the 70yr old grandma who’s living her lifelong dream of being a nurse and was slower than molasses, the Im-going-to-be-CRNA-so-i’m-very-serious group of 5, etc. I was the gay one lol. I could not wait to graduate. I keep in touch with only 2 out of a graduating class of about 50. we started with 90.
This is my last semester of nursing school I was supposed to graduate this December. I Got written up on my last day of clinical for something that happened 2 weeks prior. I’m currently facing nursing school trial I won’t be allowed to complete preceptorship in these last 8 weeks or Graduate this semester and… I have yet to know my fate. I’m depressed and defeated I feel like I’m being unfairly judged and stripped of my BSN diploma. I’ve never been written up before and this is the first violation I have committed. Im very depressed and I feel so defeated. Im barely making it day by day. I just hope they allowed me to finish those 2 classes so that I can finally graduate. Nursing school has by far been the most hostile environment I have ever found myself in. I have no more tears left in me.
Nursing school is about being bullied constantly with them holding in their hand your ability to be a nurse. THEY determine if you sit for the NCLEX! It is total bs It doesnt matter how much you want it or work for it, in the end they decide who gets to graduate and who doesn't and theres no getting around it.
I’m grateful for failing in clinical since I did my remediation and actually got dx with ahdh in that time. Since I’ve been back I’ve been doing so much better in school now.
my cohort started with 21 and only 6 graduated on time me being one of the 6. Nursing school was the worst experience of my life. i would rather take traditional college classes again like biochemistry or microbiology etc. than take a nursing class with nursing exams. its hell
Thank u simple nursing, i passed the nclex with the help of your apps . Your review videos were of big help to me .. i focused in studying and watching ur videos for 1 month , just trying my best to learn from ur study guides and wonderful videos. Thank u so much .
One of the biggest mistakes I saw in clinical was instead of saying I don't know, students would say "they never taught us that" thinking they would look bad if they said "I don't know but I'll find out" instead shifting blame to teachers who the clinical instructors were friends with. It never ended well for the student.
Mike I still remember when you were on orientation at San G and I still remember and Xochitl was so frustrated with you! Haha good to see your well now. But true school out here in California is tough. She would come back and say, “wow! You we’re teaching people on the internet?” Haha
I just failed out after failing pharm. 2nd time. But, 1st time I had to take my final while battling Covid this past spring. I didnt obtain req. 79%. Only 78.5%. No rounding. I just failed again because there was a tornado that came thru night before our final. Power went out for most students but my instructor said okay well everyone found someone who had power so you need to find somewhere. I protested but she demanded I take it by 1 p.m. We all were up all night until 430 a.m. or later due to the tornado sirens going off, having to take cover in basement. I finally fell asleep at 530 a.m. Final was supposed to be at 830 a.m. There was no compassion. I had to drive to my local library to take it. It was so chaotic, the tornados were the worst storms we've had in WI since 1998. I received a 76% on final but needed an 81% to pass class with 79%. Now, I know this is about clinicals but that's never been a problem. It is about very strict 30 min. skill check offs in front of our instructors and pharm. I now have to petition for re-entry and retake all nurse courses i passed. Or, I can appeal but the administrators said they only let 2 students back in this way per term. Not a guarantee. Due to the circumstances of my 2 failing pharm grades, I wonder if God is trying to tell me to give it up.
Hello sir Are antidepressants side effects a kind of hypersensitive immune response like drug allergy? How to differentiate between autoimmune diseases and allergies? How to manage antidepressant withdrawal symptoms? Suggest some natural remedies . Very allergic to drugs
from what I noticed paramedic students are def smarter then nursing students, they are bullied and belittled by their teacher obviously with jokes and such but nursing students are basically babied during their time in the program, the only bullies are other students who make fun of certain students for not knowing certain things, I'm in nursing school now and IDK how but I'm almost done, I'd know if I was in paramedic school I would of been kicked out months ago , i'm horrible at testing but i understand the concept when talking/skills / comparison but just terrible at testing
I just recently failed for the second time again..I'm so frustrated 😠..I missed it by one point!!..Clinical was horrible for me..I been a aide for years and healthcare has been my passion..I'm debating if I should go back or not..I need online school..anybody know any..ill due Clinical in person..

I always say “I’m not sure, but I’m willing to learn” they love that
"Never ended well" as in they were corrected with what to say? Come on.

Am very ready 🙌
if he failed out how did he became a nurse?
If you fail clinical you just do a remediation and re take the class the following semester
