I remember I watched this at my nans house multiple times maybe 18 years ago, must have been about 4/5 at the time. So much nostalgia and good memories.
this scene utterly terrified me as a kid. Just the time lapse in the chase and him desperately running away was so believable. Very, very good acting and directing.

I would say the dark green Land Rover the Dr drives in this story, is an awesome model of Land Rover unlike some of the shite Landrovers we get today like the Freedlander which is bloody ugly. I liked the models of Land Rover UNIT used, and the Land Rover Defenders are also awesome the Land Rover Discoveries are not bad but I really prefer the Land Rover models like the one we see in this story.
2:27 I love that The 4th Doctor nearly swears. In fact, he kind of does swears
“FECKING THING!!!”
Tom baker needs to wash his mouth out with soap 🧼
Father Jack Hackett 😂😂
Dr. Who - swearing? You must be joking - he says, "Filthy thing!"
Surprisingly, for a story set in Scotland..NONE of this episode was filmed there, it was all down in Sussex
“The Loch Ness Monster!!!”
“Seriously?”
The Loch Ness monster!
2:44 - 3:15 Stop-Motion Animation !

The Land_Rover the Dr drives is awesoem
1:22 onward qued with the "Westminster bridge" track from the modern series soundtrack is the absolute best.
To paraphrase Janet Fielding: Bless them, they tried!
John Woodnutt as Broton originated the timelessly villainous quote: "Die, Doctor...Die!" 😱
He was a powerhouse in the Pertwee/Baker eras... loved his Draconian Emporer character in "Frontier In Space"!!!
Hibbert was probably my favourite of Woodnutt's characters.

John Woodnutt also portrayed the Duke of Forgill in Terror Of The Zxgons and also Consul Seron in The Keeper Of Traken.
Ooh,some stop motion animation.Rare in Doctor Who,no CGI in the 70s.The only other story that I know that used this technique was Marco Polo.
Derren Lodge And The War Games too.
@@peylix-ohm4701 Yes,you're right.I forgot about the scene where the Doctor tries to contact his own people.
Ian Turner I think in IOTD they were just puppets.
@@peylix-ohm4701 Models and puppets. The Pterodactyl head was a puppet and The T-rex as well. The other dinosaurs you saw were models.

Is that Loch Ness Monster from School Reunion?
Yes.
that's one messed up looking dog.
Yes. I'm pretty sure the puppet was made with a dog or fox skull
How the doctor doesn't trip over his scarf I have no idea 😅
He did in other stories
Ah the imperial phase of Doctor Who...
Brilliant! Can you upload the Fourth Doctor's first moments in Robot? I love Benton's reaction to the regeneration.
