✿ Hello Creative Clipart friends and educators!
In todays video I go over the 7 best websites I currently know of in 2022 that allow clipart for commercial use... but there is a catch! In this in depth tutorial I talk about the ins and outs of some of these websites as well as the Terms of use and licensing for each in order to get and use the clipart from each website... I also go into some more detailed information about where you are actually sourcing your clipart from and some of my thoughts behind it.
Now I know when you start your Teachers pay Teachers store/journey you may not have the budget to go out and spend a lot of money on clipart or photography (that was me in the beginning too) and I've learnt some things about licensing along the way so before you go out choosing your clipart from these free websites I'd like to share with you some websites that I am aware of and talk in depth about the good bad and ugly of them as well as some concerns or questions I have for some of these websites :)
This is a longer video today but I think there are some important things to question and consider as we try to do the best that we can for our TPT stores. I hope it was thought provoking or helpful in some way and thank you for tuning in with me for the hour!

I am busy designing my first ever product for TPT and I needed more light on the terms of use for cliparts. This video just did that! Thank you for sharing this. I am so grateful that I got stumbled on this video.
I'm just loving all of your videos.. Such great information and so many ah ha moments for someone like me who is beginning to navigate the digital product and online graphics space. Many thanks
Thanks so much. I was only aware of 3 out 7 of these.
Thank you for reading the extra small print on terms of use in Canva, I had looked into it as a way for commercial use and they had said that you have to pay for a business account to get licenses. I 'm glad I watched your video as I was debating this as I was looking for other ways to get commercial images. Glad to know that I made right choice.
Girl I'm seven years deep in TPT and I STILL have imposter syndrome!! 😅😅 And my store is a hot mess smorgasbord of different styles and niches (I started with preschool activities, and then went full clipart, but I tried glitter clipart, "regular" clipart, and I've now done three different styles of watercolor clipart, I'm a disaster 🤣🤣) and it took a couple times of switching gears like that to realize that every time I did, it was like starting over, and I was hurting my progress doing that. But I think people also have to try different things to see what their "thing" is, so we all have to go through the journey, haha! You're doing awesome, keep going!! 💖💖
Omg I’m so glad that the imposter syndrome is something that a lot of us experience and I’m not alone or an isolated case haha 😅! I agree it’s so hard to know what your thing is because if you don’t try different things you don’t know what’s going to sell as well as what you enjoy making so it’s hard sometimes when everyone’s like FIND A NICHE… and I’m like I’m TRYING hahaha 🥲
Thank you so much for the encouraging words Lisa 🌸🌸 you’re a rockstar and that means so much! Especially from someone who has been doing it for longer! I appreciate that! And your stuff is truly awesome #goals 🥰💕💕
@@tealazzoclipart you are so sweet, thank you so much!! I'm always happy to help and chat TPT and always excited to make new TPT/clipart buddies! And yes, this is definitely a journey, and a marathon, not a sprint haha! You got this!!
Yeah it's pretty common. I suffered through this during the pandemic. I kept trying to chase the trends. I finally honed into a niche I think defines my style the best. Now that my logo, banner and art all compliment each other I'm starting to get sells now. Best of luck!
Amazing video like always 💕💕
Thank you so much for such an informative video 🙏
Great video! Thank you!
Thanks, it's a GREAT video ! Am I the only one who finds it confusing to go back to my purchase and reread the conditions of use while I create my product? I wish conditions of use were standards and it was the same thing for every creator so I would not have to go back and research the terms.
Hello Lea ! Thank you for taking the time to comment! Yes it can be so confusing at times, I agree! I like straight forward and simple terms of myself! Each creator has the right to create their own terms of use as it’s their work they’ve put out to the world so I understand it on that level but yes it can be tricky understanding and remembering what the TOU are for each creator!
Over time you’ll find you’ll stick to one’s that have a commercial use licence that aligns to what you need it for but it can be hard as sometimes you want to use something for a particular thing but the TOU says it’s not allowed so therefore you can’t use it for that project you had in mind and will have to find something else
:) I totally get what you are saying though! It would be much easier haha
You are the best ❤
what if you don't want to trademark your logo?
Thank you. I have a question for you or anyone read this; what about using these models or videos in UA-cam? It says free to use it for personal and commercial use. I’m really benefiting from using models in Canva. Please help. I reached out for Canva and not clear yet what do they allow.
Hey Maya! That’s actually such a great question! It’s all a learning process isn’t it…I’ll do some more research into it too
If they reach back out to you could you report back for anyone reading!
I’ll try and reach out to them too but like with many things it may also depend on how it’s used…
Selling a PDF product with elements in it may be classed as different in use… compared to using it in a UA-cam video for educational purposes as you are not exactly selling a document to be downloaded but again because it is still ‘real’ people a model release may be required… I’ll look more into it… but depending on where it’s sourced from may be up to you to make sure you have the correct permissions which can be complex…
The online world has many ‘grey’ or blurry areas with how to use things and I am not a lawyer but they are just things I too have considered when reading the TOU. It can be complex and quite confusing at times 🧐
I’ll do some more digging though !
this video is tooo long
This video is gold! 🪙🌟
Aww you're Lovely! Thank you Becky! 🤩
